We have two glamping pods which are brand new for the 2022 season and set in a small wild flower meadow which should be established and flowering in 2023. These are&nbsp;super luxury large glamping lodges, each featuring an open plan kitchen-dining-sitting-room; a completely separate bedroom with walk around double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers;&nbsp;and a shower room with power shower. There is a lovely deck where you can sip a glass of wine looking out over horses to the countryside of Strathspey. All linen and towels are provided and a welcome pack to set your holiday off to a good stress-free start. We are a small horse farm located in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park on the edge of Nethy Bridge.&nbsp;Nethy Bridge is known as the forest village as it is situated on the edge of the Abernethy RSPB nature reserve. The reserve is the largest area of natural Scots Caledonian pinewood left in Scotland. We are about 2 miles from Loch Garten where Ospreys have been coming for many years to nest and raise their young. This is the perfect retreat if you enjoy peace and quiet, nature and deer and bird watching, or&nbsp;activity holidays like sailing, mountain biking, walking, horse riding and skiing in the Winter. The area abounds in wildlife and has been frequently featured on BBC Springwatch because of the richness of the ecosystem in the Cairngorms.&nbsp; We look forward to welcoming you to our peaceful corner of the World.

Beautifull and cosy

We had a great weekend in Ptarmigan - the pod is cosy and comfortable and it's great to have a bedroom and bathroom as well as the living/kitchen area. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful - it was great for our small dog, who enjoyed meeting the donkeys and horses, and we also had lovely walks around Nethybridge and the wider area. We'll definitely come back again (this was already our third stay)!

Marvellous short break in February

A beautiful and magical winter stay with views of the local castle and donkeys. It is a quiet and private stay, surrounded by forest walks and adventures. It was fantastic for my reactive dog who was so relaxed and enjoyed the peace. I would stay again! 10/10

Miss

We stayed one night whilst attending a wedding nearby with our Labrador. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, well-equipped accommodation in a lovely setting. Have to say though, the donkeys stole the show!! Would happily recommend to friends & family visiting the area.

Perfect

We had a fantastic time staying in the Osprey Pod, Alastair and Ingrid are brilliant hosts and spoiled us with everything we needed and more in their beautiful pod, the super comfy Emma mattress meant we had the best sleep we have had in years! Beautiful views from our porch of the horses and donkeys and a perfect location in a beautiful part of the country, we can’t recommend Nethy stables enough and hope to be back again soon.
