Saltwood House sits on 4,000sqm of Moonah tree bush in Rye — a sprawling retreat with a pool, outdoor sauna, and space for 16+ guests. Walk to rock pools, drive 5 minutes to Alba Hot Springs, and enjoy total privacy without leaving the property.

Designed for families, groups, and retreat-seekers, Saltwood House is the perfect place to stay for girls weekends, family reunions, multiple group couples weekends.

Coastal Sanctuary with Pool, Hot Tub & Sauna

Okay, apparently we did have to check out of Saltwood at some point… rude, honestly. 😂 Because I could have very happily moved in and never left.

It somehow felt like home the second we walked in. Cosy, cute, quirky and full of personality, but with all these little layers of luxury. The beautiful bed linen, fluffy towels, gorgeous shampoo, conditioner and body wash, a kitchen stocked with literally everything you could possibly need… every little pocket of the house felt considered. There was always something else to discover.

And then there were the grounds. Yes, technically it’s a backyard… but calling it a backyard feels wildly disrespectful. 😂

Heated pool with a slide, hot tub, sauna, all in VERY high rotation, plus mini golf, playground, trampoline, soccer pitch, gazebo, outdoor fire pit, games, a fairy garden… honestly, what DIDN’T this place have?!

There were 11 of us staying and somehow we never once felt like we were on top of each other. There was so much space to spread out, come together, disappear for a nap, find a sunny corner with a book or pour another wine. And genuinely, there was room for plenty more!

We played. We cooked. We relaxed. We wined. We cooked some more because apparently feeding 11 people is a full-time occupation. 😂 We dined, read, napped, swam, sauna’d, hot-tubbed and slept VERY well.

We literally did not need to leave.

In fact, we only ventured out for a Woolies Click & Collect, our beach photoshoot and one cheeky little winery date because the aunties and uncles practically pushed us out the door and said, “GO!” 😂🍷 Then straight back to Saltwood we went.

The kind of stay where the accommodation isn’t just where you sleep between activities. It IS the holiday. 🤍

And now I’m just wondering how long is socially acceptable to wait before asking if we can move in permanently… 😂

Pure Heaven ❤️

Anna’s house was above and beyond. Amazing adventure playground for kids and adults. The beds were super comfortable and the lounges were just as good. Great inside and outside entertainment areas with a bbq, sauna and hot tub. You could literally stay at the house for a week and not leave. Anna is a tremendous host and very easy to get in contact with. I would definitely recommend this place.

Above and Beyond!

Certainly is a retreat and a perfect place for family getaways! Something for all ages to do here! So clean and everything provided for... pool, lush gardens, hot tub, sauna, playground, trampoline, a mini oval to play ball games! Anna was a great host and we will definitely be back with more of our family!

Everything and MORE!

Anna's place was such a great place to spend a week away with the family. The house was very well equipped with all the necessary amenities and more. The yard is such a great feature of the property, which caters for young and old. The pool, spa and sauna were a great feature of the house along with the trampoline, kids play ground, fairy garden and soccer field. The beds were super comfy and the rooms were quite spacious. Anna was such a great host, very responsive, helpful and accommodating. Would definitely come back!

The Happiness House!

Come stay at Anna's only if you want to feel right at home the minute you walk in the door, sleep in very comfortable beds after a swim, followed by soaking in a hot tub under the stars or relaxing in a sauna. The house has everything needed to cook, BBQ, do laundry and when those tasks are done the outside decking area is filled with comfortable seating facing views of a really beautiful and special garden which children will play in with great delight and adults will appreciate the peaceful environment blending the beauty of the natural trees with modern design and touches... it is really a pleasure to be in.
