Bigger Bear Cabin, 3 bd/2 ba

After more than 20 years of annual fly fishing trips to southwest Montana and the Greater Yellowstone area, our group has stayed in dozens of cabins. I can honestly say Beartrap Canyon Cabins is one of the best we've found. The cabins were spotless, comfortable, and had amenities you won't find in most cabins. The location is hard to beat: 20 minutes from Ennis, 30 minutes from the Gallatin Gateway, and just over 30 minutes from the airport (BZN). It's also centrally located to some of the best fly fishing in southwest Montana, making it easy to fish a different stream or section each day without spending hours on the road. What really sets Beartrap Canyon Cabins apart, are the owners. They were genuinely welcoming, friendly, and accommodating from the moment we booked until the day we left. It's clear they take great pride in their property and truly care that their guests have a great experience. That kind of hospitality is becoming harder to find. The cabins are clean, well maintained, thoughtfully equipped, and provide the perfect place to relax after a full day of fishing.Finding a place that everyone in a group agrees on isn't easy, especially after two decades of annual trips. Beartrap Canyon Cabins exceeded our expectations, and we've already agreed this will be our first choice for future trips. If you're looking for an outstanding place to stay while exploring the incredible fly fishing southwest Montana has to offer, you won't be disappointed.

Voted Best Fishing Cabin around Yellowstone

This beautiful cabin is just perfection … as are the hosts! We saw deer everyday, cooked and grilled out, slept soundly. This true log cabin is well stocked, very clean and convenient to many of the sights. It’s just enough out of Bozeman to feel remote and just close enough to run into town for dinner, groceries, etc. Don’t hesitate to book … you will have the best vacation, leave relaxed, know you chose and spent your money wisely and if you get the chance to meet Tony (your host), you will have made a new friend too!

Perfection!

Stayed here for just a few days, but I dont think I could've picked a better spot! The cabin is so charming and cozy. The perfect blend of rustic tranquil and modern comfort. Not to mention its surrounded by beautiful Montana landscapes!
We took full advantage of the unseasonably warm temps the first few days . Theres crazy adventures right outside the door! Its close to some amazing hiking trails and fly fishing. Bozeman is just a short drive away. There were plenty of dining options, shopping, and nightlife! However, like true Montana weather, it snowed the next day. But no worries! The cabin was warm and inviting with the cutest wood burning stove/fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, and super cozy beds.
One of my favorite parts was sitting out on the deck with my morning coffee watching the sun rise over the ridge. I also have to give a shout out to Tony, the property manager. He had extensive knowledge on the area and helped us so much with navigating the territory.
This cabin is perfect if you're looking for peaceful solitude or outdoor adventures! Thank you so much!  We're already planning our next visit!

True Montana Beauty

The first week of Oct. we traveled to Montana from Michigan to meet up with family.
The cabin was new, very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the comfortable beds and beautiful layout. We took advantage of the fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill.
We were blessed with perfect weather!
The stargazing was amazing from the porches and fire pit. And it was sooo.. quiet!
The on-site hosts made us feel very welcome. Tony was a great "tour guide". We were able to visit many sites.
- Ringing Rocks between Butte and Whitehall
- Toured the small town of Pony
- Rode around Ennis Lake and stumbled upon the
 beauty of Madison Dam
- Spent a day in the quaint town of Ennis
- Visited Norris Hot Springs several evenings which was
only 5 miles from the cabin
We had a wonderful stay and look forward to visiting again!

Family Stay

We recently had the pleasure of staying in this newly built cabin in Norris, MT that combines natural beauty, serenity and comfort. The property has a firepit to enjoy at night, creek to fish in and plenty of land for hiking and exploring. It is minutes from a Norris Hot Springs which can be enjoyed at any time of the day but provides the perfect ending to a day of hiking. Just down the road is BearTrap Canyon providing a hiking trail, plenty of fishing, a picnic spot or relaxing by the Madison River. Because it is only located 35 minutes from Bozeman, it was perfect for access to stores, downtown, breweries and restaurants. We even decided to take a day to drive the scenic route to Big Sky. We really enjoyed our time here and the cabin provided a balance of daytime exploring and cozy evenings on the porch or inside by the fire.
