We had a wonderful stay! The place was peaceful, very clean, and well maintained. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We especially loved the bear theme, which made the place feel unique and cozy. Overall, a great experience, and we would happily recommend this place to others!

We decided to have our wedding at a cabin in the woods and we're so lucky we chose the Oakland Bear Lair. It was perfect for housing our wedding party leading up to the big day. Everyone loved it and the wedding itself was beautiful at such an amazing location. The hosts were responsive and offered so many fun suggestions for our group. This place will forever have a special place in our hearts.

The Most Perfect Getaway

See you next time. Mayb twice this year. Such a nice spot. Very clean and so much room for activities. This was our second time here.

If you are thinking of renting, just do, if you need any reassurance message the wonderful host. She was responsive prior to booking, attentive during our whole stay, and went above and beyond as a host. The 2nd you enter the front door you are in awe. The log cabin paired with high ceilings, luxury/ well stocked kitchen and homey feel all mixed in to make this the perfect family get away. From the beds, games, pool, hot tub, and overall amount of space, you can’t go wrong or run out of things to do. We barely wanted to leave but when we did there is SO much in the area. We recommend Lindy point observation (can't miss), swallow falls park, Blackwater waterfall, and a simple day in Oakland's center town. We had a special needs family member, older family + pets and found plenty of options for everyone to be involved and appreciate the views. While food can be lacking in the area Melanie’s(6 minutes away- great diner food) and Dutches at Silver Tree (30 mins- steak) were unforgettable!

This House is pretty amazing. It's huge. We had a large group and we all had plenty of room for sleeping and do our thing. There isn't one thing you need that the house doesn't have. Its beautiful, very private and peaceful. In 10-15 min drive you will find lots of stores, restaurants and much more. Our host was more than excellent. Wish i could leave a 10-star review!!
