Escape to the beauty of  Ontario's not-so-best-kept secret: The Bruce Peninsula! Stay at Boat Lake Cabin Co., your cozy retreat nestled in nature and directly on the lake. The region attracts the adventerous with some of the best hiking in Ontario as well as those looking to unwind in nature away from the hustle and bustle of the city and other overly touristy cottage destinations. We are on Boat Lake, an inland lake near Sauble Beach and located just a short 15 minute drive from downtown Wiarton. The lake itself is a tight-knit community with no public lake access, a dark-sky preserve across the lake and a true nature lovers oasis.
The cabin features 2 bedrooms (all bedding and linens provided), a full bathroom with shower (towels provided), kitchen with gas stove, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Enjoy a full coffee bar stocked by your coffee addict hosts! Our motto "Disconnect Screens | Reconnect Serene" is seen in our design that revolves around spending time around the kitchen table, record player, board games, fire pit and dock. Firewood provided along with a kayak, canoe and stand-up paddleboard to enjoy on the calm lake. The cabin is a throwback to simpler times with classic cabin vibes and activities you will love with your guests and dogs! Speaking of dogs, our space was designed with them in mind with a wrap around enclosed deck and pet friendly indoor space.
Our goal with Boat Lake Cabin Co. is to provide a tranquil setting to relax, rejuvenate, and explore the picturesque region.  Bruce Peninsula sunsets are legendary for their beauty and we are so fortunate the cabin faces west out at the lake and we want everyone to enjoy them as much as we have. Explore our photos and feel free to reach out to us with any questions at all! We would love for you come experience the beauty of the region and our amazing little cabin!

Boat Lake Cabin Co.

Thank you to Clay and Katie for this amazing place and for allowing our family the chance to enjoy. We came in August with our Daughters and had an amazing time on the water, exploring Lionshead, Spirit Rock and Sauble Beach. Boat Lake has become our annual disconnect and every time we leave we cant wait to come back. So.....
In October my Wife and I came back for a weekend for our anniversary. The quiet, calm and sunsets could not be matched. The Fall colors were brilliant and we enjoyed reading and fires by the water.
This place is more than the pictures could ever show because you need to feel it to truly appreciate it.

The Porays

So Nice we Visited Twice

Thank you Katie and Clay for allowing us to disconnect and truly relax at the cabin. We came in August with the girls and in October for our anniversary. We hiked, fished and explored some of the local places and of course we stopped and unplugged and marveled at the sunsets. The fall colors were stunning and it was just a remarkable experience to sit by the fire in the evening and enjoy the silence. We cant wait to get back in 2026.

So nice we visited twice!

Myself and my two sons stayed at Boat Lake Cabin for 6 days and we had a lovely stay. The cottage is so cute, with enough space for the 3 of us to feel comfortable, and well appointed with everything we needed. It was very convenient to not have to bring sheets or towels along with us (you need your own beach towels, but shower, hand and dish towels are all provided). The area is quiet, and the cottage had lots of games, books, DVDs and outside activities to keep us busy. There's a cute little lending library a quick walk up the road if you need a new book or DVD during your stay. Communication with the owners was quick and easy, and we felt comfortable and welcome. We were visited by a couple of loons off the dock every morning and evening, which thrilled the boys (and myself!).
A quick drive to Wiarton for anything we needed, check out the Frosty Freeze if you need an ice cream fix! And we got out to Tobermory and Lion's Head during our stay. The Lion's Head farmers market on Saturday morning was great. We made some great memories, and had a very relaxing stay. Thanks guys!

Beautiful Boat Lake!

My partner and I stayed at Boat Lake Cabin with our two dogs. We had the best time! The cabin is so cozy, it has board games, books and has a fully stocked coffee bar. The porch is fully gated so it was perfect for our dogs so they didn’t wander. The view was amazing and we enjoyed our time by the fire. I would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful Stay

Needed a getaway and this was just perfect for my first time exploring the area. Tranquil setting with beautiful sunsets and perfect mornings. Cabin was clean, beautifully decorated and cozy and had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. The coffeebar was a winner! Enjoyed every minute and would love to be back!
