☆☆ HOW BOOKING WORKS - PLEASE READ ☆☆
Submitting a request here is an INQUIRY, not a confirmed reservation. Here’s the process:
☀ Submit your request with your date, headcount, and event type.
☀ I’ll follow up (usually within 2-3 business days) to make sure the space fits your event - capacity, setup, and timing - before anything is charged.
☀ Once we’ve confirmed the details, I’ll approve the booking, and you’ll receive your confirmation. Nothing is reserved until you hear back from me.

☆☆ BOOKING PRIORITIES & AVAILABILITY ☆☆
We prioritize rentals for groups who also book the lodging at the Brown County Barn Burner (sleeps up to 29).

☀ Event Space Only: Rental calendar opens for standalone reservations (without lodging) starting 90 days before the event. Submitting a request is an INQUIRY, not a confirmed reservation - see HOW BOOKING WORKS above.
☀ Wedding Receptions & Large Celebrations: Due to the combo nature and location of the lodging and Event Space in the Barn Burner, we do NOT book the Event Space on its own, without lodging, for wedding-related activities (ceremonies, receptions, etc.) or large celebrations.

You must also book all of the lodging to host these types of events at the Barn Burner, which you can do here: https://www.bcbarnburner.com/book-entire-barn-burner-lodging-plus-event-space

☆☆ PLANNING A WEDDING? READ THIS FIRST ☆☆
I talk with a lot of couples about this space for their wedding weekend, and here’s what I tell them all: if you’re planning a reception and want to have a traditional dance floor plus dining tables, you’re realistically fitting 20-30 people in this space, not 45+ people.
With the full-property lodging booked (required for any wedding-related activities to be hosted in the Event Space), groups can have the overhead doors open and spread out to the rooftop patio and sidewalk. You can check out the entire property (lodging + Event Space) and book here: https://www.bcbarnburner.com/book-entire-barn-burner-lodging-plus-event-space
While some micro-wedding groups have used the Event Space for their ceremony and/or reception, most wedding groups use the Barn Burner as home base for the wedding party and hold the reception at a larger venue. The Event Space is at its best for rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, and post-wedding brunches.
Got a bigger guest list? I’m happy to share a list of Brown County wedding venues that might fit what you’re looking for.
☆☆ FOOD & ALCOHOL POLICIES ☆☆
Guests are welcome to bring their own food or hire a licensed caterer of their choice.
The Event Space kitchen includes a refrigerator, ice machine, 3-bay sink, and prep tables, but no oven, microwave, or other cooking equipment. If you also rent the lodging units, each has a fully stocked kitchen.
Planning to serve alcohol? You’ll need either a licensed and insured bartender or an event liability policy that covers alcohol service - the rental agreement has the details, and I’m happy to answer any questions for you. For catering requirements and vendor guidelines, please visit our Event FAQ page.
☆☆ GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES ☆☆
This is a DIY rental space, meaning:
☀ Guests are responsible for setup & teardown of tables, chairs, and decorations.
☀ The space must be left in reasonably clean and good condition before departure.
☀ Guests supply their own tablecloths, serving ware, plates, utensils, and catering supplies.
Questions about what’s included or other services that may be offered? Visit our Event FAQ page for details.
☆☆ PARKING & GUEST ACCESS ☆☆
Free street parking & public lots are available nearby. NO on-site parking is included unless lodging is also booked.
Event Space rentals include exclusive access to the event space and its amenities. The Event Space does NOT have access to the rooftop patio - this is reserved for lodging guests.
Check-in is contactless via key-coded entry. Your unique door code, along with detailed check-in instructions, parking information, and check-out guidelines, will be sent 1-2 days before your event.
Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are very limited or unavailable in the area, so make sure your guests have a transportation plan for getting safely to and from the venue for your event.

We prioritize event bookings for groups also reserving Barn Burner lodging. If you’re planning an overnight stay, you can rent multiple units or even the Entire Barn Burner, which sleeps up to 29 guests across all four units.
