This villa stands as an exceptional property envisioned by the renowned architect Oliver Messel. This stunning estate rests gracefully on a coveted beach along Barbados's serene West Coast, embodying a captivating piece of the island's architectural legacy. Once meticulously restored by Messel in the 1950s, this villa became his personal residence in Barbados, showcasing his meticulous attention to detail through Greek columns, expansive balconies, and the use of local coral stone. Preserved with care, the property boasts meticulously landscaped grounds and sophisticated interiors that reflect Messel's discerning taste. The ground floor unveils inviting, spacious rooms perfect for gatherings and cherished moments with loved ones. The sea-facing gazebo offers enchanting views, presenting the quintessential setting for witnessing the mesmerizing Caribbean sunset. A classic poolside bar sets the stage for evening cocktails before guests move to the romantically adorned dining terrace, adorned with high ceilings, antique wrought iron fixtures, and a bespoke twelve-seater coral dining table. The day winds down in the lounge area on the open terrace, framed by the spectacular Caribbean sky. The elegant and expansive living room, furnished with a large sectional sofa, provides a comfortable space for various activities such as watching TV, playing games, or indulging in a good read. A dedicated desk area caters to those needing to work remotely. Here, water-based enjoyment awaits across the expansive pool or within the turquoise Caribbean Sea, with direct access to a secluded beach for morning or afternoon dips. The estate comprises seven en suite bedrooms spread across three separate buildings: the Main House, Guest Cottage 1, and Guest Cottage 2, offering ample space for relaxation and privacy for a large group of friends or family. The Main House, spanning two floors, hosts four en suite bedrooms. The upper floor hosts the bright and airy Master suite, adorned with high ceilings and wooden flooring. Antique furnishings, a regal king-sized upholstered bed, exquisite linen fabrics, and carefully curated accessories define this refined space. French doors open onto a private balcony offering breathtaking sea views. The master suite is equipped with air conditioning, a fan, and a spacious wardrobe. Its en suite features marble floors, a double vanity with a marble top, and a generous shower. Guest Bedroom 2 exudes spacious elegance, boasting a beautifully crafted king bed, premium fabrics, and a large ornate dressing mirror. Wooden floors, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and a recently renovated en suite with a spacious shower complete this room. Guest Bedroom 2 shares an extensive balcony with sea views with Guest Bedrooms 3 and 4. Guest Bedrooms 3 and 4 can comfortably function as a family suite. Guest Bedroom 3 offers a king bed, luxurious bed linens, and an en suite with a marble floor vanity and a shower. Meanwhile, Guest Bedroom 4 features wooden mahogany floors, twin beds, an en suite with marble floors, and a bathtub with a shower. Both bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans, sharing a second north-facing balcony overlooking the pool, along with private stairs leading to the pool area.
