Casa Piscaretta with heated pool and close to sandy beaches

Our family absolutely adored our stay at Casa Piscaretta. The property itself is so well thought out, with plenty of space and everything you could need for a comfortable stay. It was particularly refreshing to stay somewhere that provided all the little kitchen essentials, such as oils, flavourings, sandwich bags, cling film, etc. With two very young children, this made the stay so much less stressful, as we didn’t have to plan every little aspect of daily life or remember to buy all those things when we arrived. The pool was fantastic, and we loved that it was securely gated away from the main property. This was a huge selling point for us with two young children and gave us real peace of mind. The location of the villa is also perfect for exploring the Algarve. You’re around 10 minutes from beaches, supermarkets and other amenities, and literally just 5 minutes from a water park, which was a huge bonus for us. I have to agree with another review that the sunsets over Porches are breathtaking. Watching the sky change from red, to orange, and then deep blue as the sun sets is absolutely beautiful and incredibly relaxing. If we decide to return to the Algarve, we will definitely be checking to see if Casa Piscaretta is available again. We would happily stay here another time and would highly recommend it to other families.

Wonderful stay

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful house in Portugal with our three children.

The house was spacious, comfortable and really well set up for a family holiday. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax, play and have their own space, which made travelling with kids so much easier. 😅

The outdoor space was fantastic, breakfast on the balcony, sunny afternoons by the pool and relaxed evenings together.

The location was one of the best parts. We loved being less than 10 minutes from beautiful beaches, waterparks and everything we needed for a fun family holiday.

Porches itself was such a lovely surprise. It felt authentic, cosy and full of charm, with a much more local feel than some of the busier areas nearby. It was the perfect base for exploring the Algarve while still having somewhere peaceful and welcoming to come back to.

One of our favourite memories was watching the sunsets. They were honestly some of the most unreal sunsets we have ever seen. 🌅

We left with very happy children and some brilliant family memories. We would absolutely recommend this house to other families looking for a comfortable, relaxing and well-located place to stay in Portugal.

An unforgettable family stay in the Algarve

We absolutely love Portugal and have stayed in many wonderful properties over the years, but very few have been perfect for our whole family. This villa truly had everything we could have hoped for.
The privacy was exceptional, the swimming pool was beautiful, and there was plenty of space for the children to play and enjoy themselves. Every area of the home was thoughtfully designed and served a purpose, making our stay both comfortable and relaxing.
The location was fantastic—we were close to stunning beaches, loved walking to the nearby beer garden for dinner, and enjoyed exploring the charming town of Porches on foot.
We made so many wonderful family memories here and will definitely be returning. We cannot recommend this property highly enough. 💛
