Good Fortune

It's hard to believe, but our second stay at Good Fortune may have been even better than the first.

When we first stayed here last year, we thought we had found the perfect family vacation spot. Coming back this year only confirmed it. Cape San Blas is such a special place peaceful, beautiful, family friendly, and somewhere that lets you truly unplug. And Good Fortune is the perfect home to experience it all.

The house is every bit as amazing as we remembered. It's immaculately maintained, incredibly comfortable, and so thoughtfully equipped that you never find yourself wishing for anything. Whether it was mornings on the porch with coffee, afternoons by the pool or on the beach, or evenings grilling and spending time together, every day just felt easy.

Carrie continues to be one of the best hosts we've ever worked with. Her communication is outstanding, she genuinely cares about her guests, and it shows in every detail of the home and the entire experience. You can tell this isn't just a rental property to her, it's something she's truly proud of, and that makes all the difference.

The biggest compliment we can give is that this trip has officially become a family tradition. Before we even left, our girls were already asking, "When are we coming back?" We found ourselves talking about next summer before this vacation had even ended, and we're already hoping to lock in our week again.

There are a lot of beautiful vacation homes, but very few become places your family looks forward to returning to year after year. Good Fortune has become exactly that for us. Thank you again, Carrie, for another unforgettable week. We already can't wait for next summer.

Our family just returned from the most incredible week at Good Fortune in Cape San Blas, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better place to make lifelong memories.

There were 16 of us spanning four generations, from our 1-year-old granddaughter to our 92-year-old daddy, and everyone had plenty of room to relax without ever feeling crowded. The home is beautifully designed, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully stocked with just about anything you could possibly need.

Our favorite spot quickly became the spacious porches overlooking the pool and the breathtaking Gulf. Each evening we gathered with guitars in hand, singing long after sunset while watching some of the most beautiful, romantic sunsets we’ve ever seen. Those are memories we’ll treasure forever.

The host was absolutely wonderful—attentive, responsive, and the definition of Southern hospitality. It was clear they genuinely cared that our family had an unforgettable stay.

Good Fortune wasn’t just a vacation rental; it became the backdrop for precious family moments that we’ll cherish for years to come. In fact, before we even packed our bags, we were already talking about next year. We hope to make staying at Good Fortune an annual family tradition!

If you’re looking for the perfect beachfront home for a large family gathering, look no further. We wholeheartedly give Good Fortune our highest recommendation and can’t wait to return!

We just left Good Fortune and it was the perfect vacation home for our multi family group. The house is well stocked and the location is perfect. Carrie is a wonderful host. She graciously helped me find a baby gate rental at 10 pm.

We would definitely stay here again!

The Perfect Vacation Home

If you are looking for a family vacation home on the beach at Cape San Blas, look no further than Good Fortune. Carrie was very helpful and quick to respond when booking our family vacation. Everything was very clean and well organized. A supply of kids toys for the beach and water, well kept grill (which we used a lot), and maintenance even checked in on us to make sure our stay was comfortable and everything was running properly. Having a pool at the house was a must for us since we have three kids and beach access was very convenient from the house. There’s an ice cream truck right down the road which the kids loved. There’s a porch swing on the second floor for leisure and amazing beach views on the top floor. This place is a slice of heaven for your family beach vacation. Our kids really enjoyed the creativity of the bunk beds on the second floor. The only thing we wish is that we could have stayed longer! This felt like a home away from home, this exceeded our expectations by far. Thank you for our stay Good Fortune, and all of your hospitality

We have stayed at many good houses on Cape San Blas, but Good Fortune was different. What makes this house a GREAT option is the owner does a fantastic job of managing her property. Carrie is attentive and is super responsive to any and all inquiries. The kitchen was fully equipped, and many small items were taken care of in the house which made it very easy to walk in and begin enjoying our time together.
