Casa Playa de los osos | Coopers Beach Sea Views

Kia ora,
My family and I recently stayed here for the weekend while visiting Whatuwhiwhi to mark the one-year anniversary of my mother-in-law’s passing. We were very happy to find Casa, especially as most of the accommodation options in Whatuwhiwhi were already booked. The location was perfect, being only around a 25-minute drive away, and it was lovely not having to travel too far.
The location itself was fantastic, with convenient access to local shops for everything we needed, beaches near by as well as cable ice cream store was a hit. The view from the deck was absolutely beautiful, and the outdoor area felt very private, peaceful, and well maintained. The gardens and surrounding trees were beautifully looked after.
We really enjoyed using the BBQ, which was easy to operate and clean afterwards. One of the highlights for us was relaxing in the spa on our final evening — it was the perfect way to finish our stay before heading home the next morning.
The kids especially loved having access to the laptop in the office area, which is something you don't often find in holiday accommodation. We also really appreciated how spacious and open the property was. Having a dishwasher was very helpful, and it was great to have everything we needed provided, including extra tea towels, towels, toilet paper and other essentials.
If I were to suggest a couple of small additions, perhaps having a few more board games such as Monopoly would be great for families. It may also be worth considering an additional step or two around the outside gate/deck area steps going up, as it is slightly steep. Other than those small suggestions, everything was fantastic.
Paul, who was our main point of contact throughout our stay, was wonderful. He was friendly, helpful and very easy to contact whenever we needed anything.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend Casa to anyone looking for a spacious, peaceful and well-equipped place to stay while exploring the Far North. Thank you for having us Paul & Darryl.

We had an awesome stay. Great facilities and location. Everything we needed and more in the house. Little added extras were lovely touch.

Was great to get back to after a long day at the beach or from an outing.

Nice view of the bay, well stocked house (with towels, books, toys, condiments, etc), very comfortable, warm/cool and clean. They also had good beach chairs & snorkeling gear which we didnt need, but good to know its available.

Great spot, all the amenities you need for a holiday home.

😀 I could live here. Cosy home, with everything you could need generously provided. Lovely elevated view of the Harbour. Quiet and private. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the heat pumps cooling mode. With 5 of us staying, 2 toilets was handy.
☹️ If the single bed could be stretched to a king single our 6 foot 1 son would have fitted better, but he was still comfortable.

Perfect for our needs. Thanks so much to our hosts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house has a great vibe, and is just a short walk to Cooper's beach, which is one of our favourite beaches. A highlight every day was walking into the living area in the morning and being greeted by that fantastic view of Doubtless Bay. The house is light, airy, and very comfortable. We'll be back!
