Flooded with natural light and framed by warm wood tones, the Poor Scholar Suite is where modern California design meets rustic craftsmanship. Unwind on the couch in front of the gas fireplace with a glass of wine as evening settles in. In the morning, wake up to views of the lush meadow, framed by towering trees and vineyards in the distance.

Perfect for longer stays, this spacious suite offers a separate sleeping loft that can accommodate the kiddos or be used as another spot for relaxing. Other thoughtful touches include a walk-in closet and a writing desk. More than a room, the Poor Scholar is a place to linger, dream, and perhaps even write your own wine country story.

The Poor Scholar Suite

Suite was spacious & cozy. Plenty of linen, towels, and comfortable bed. Tucked away on beautiful scenic grounds that are a quick drive to downtown restaurants, wineries & boutiques. Homemade breakfast was delicious. I plan to visit again soon.

Perfect getaway

My two night stay Casa Communita was an absolute joy! Our innkeepers, Maryann and Larry were so hospitable and caring. The cottages are beautiful and well done. The sitting area was so comfortable and a great place to work or just be still! The grounds themselves are too beautiful to describe. Set right next to a meadow made it. peaceful and relaxing. You definitely want to visit!

What a Gem!
