You’ll love the stylish decor of this charming place to stay. Close by you will be able to find La Tartaleta an excellent bakery as well as a variety of restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner. La costera of Bacalar is the main road that goes along the coast of the lagoon this road is only a couple blocks away.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Umay - thanks Camilo! The location is pretty much perfect, just a 5 minute walk to the lagoon and a 1 minute walk to the main town square, which has a great atmosphere in the evenings and loads of great little restaurants and cafes (check out Enamora for breakfast too!). The room itself was exactly as pictured and clean and tidy - perfect for our two-night stay. The shared areas were great too - the hammocks and pool were perfect for early evening relaxing and the kitchen had all the the things you might need if you wanted to prepare your own meals. Really recommend this place and hope we get to come back soon :)

We had a wonderful stay

Camilo is an amazing host! He’s super nice and helpful. Every time we were back to the room and run into him he was welcoming us with a “welcome back home” and I find it so beautiful. The room is nice and clean, and b&b’s position is the best you can find, it takes just a two minutes walk to reach the main square of Bacalar. I would definitely come back!

Camilo is an amazing host!

Casa Umay / Camilo’s place was everything and more. Super comfortable and safe. Bonus Da Bruno’s Pizza place in front 🥰

Everything and more

Great location, great value—close to town and lots of good restaurants. The space was great for exploring Bacalar!
