Screened from the road by coastal forest, Peace & Plenty sits on a gentle rise, providing stunning 180° views from every room in the house of Great Oyster Bay and the magnificent Freycinet Peninsula. Even the locals gasp when they see it.
Experience the pleasure of relaxing in a heated indoor pool (to 34 degrees all year round). And for breakfast, lunch or dinner pick your own fruit, vegetables, salad and herbs from our seasonal garden.
Nine Mile Beach is just a 70 metre walk along the private path through the dunes. Enjoy a romantic stroll along the deserted beach or a swim in the cleanest water in the world.
A holiday house should be more than just a bed. But our guests rave about our Tasmanian designed and manufactured Queen-size beds (and the fine cotton bed linen). You won’t want to get up in the morning, and that’s OK because you can lie there and take in the unbelievable views.
Yes, everything you need is there – the state-of-the-art kitchen, the stylish bathrooms, especially the one with double showers and a floor to ceiling feature window, luxurious bathsheets and Japanese bath robes, unlimited wi-fi, smart TV and library of books. But what is unique at Peace and Plenty is the Javanese-inspired central dining/living area, the gorgeous S-E Asian textiles throughout the house, the Tasmanian-designed furnishings from Designs in Timber in Launceston and the famed Ph5 pendant lights by the renowned Danish designer Poul Henningsen.
And don’t forget to enjoy the complimentary on-arrival award-winning bottle of wine (for a stay more than 3 nights) and a well-stocked pantry.
Is this your ideal holiday?

Peace and Plenty - a secluded luxury beach house

Just WOW 👌 Thanks to the amazing hosts, this place is a cut above the rest .. There was absolutely nothing that could have improved my stay . To the point it exceeded my expectations Thank you ... Will be back.

Just WoW!

Peace & Plenty is in a truely beautiful place. The house is so lovely with the most spectacular views across to The Hazards. We could lie in bed and watch a gorgeous sunrise or walk the 30 seconds to the beach and watch from there. With birds galore and a cute seal showing off surfing on the shoreline in the small waves was a very special memory. The house itself is perfect with everything you need at hand. The pool was a warm treat, especially after a winter swim in the ocean, brrrr. ( we only had one ocean swim!!! It was winter after all ) . Two separate wings for the bedrooms with our own bathrooms, which is great for privacy. Shower pressure was great. Cosy & warm in winter. What more can I say, we loved our stay here. Would love to come back one day. Thank you Charmaine for sharing your home with us.

Most spectacular views

We spent Christmas here with our two kids, 8 and 9 years old. This house is one of the best houses I have ever seen. Everything is exactly as on the photos.
Charmaine is a perfect host, very friendly, responded within minutes. There was so much to discover inside and around the house. The view from the dining table is magnificent. At breakfast we were just staring at the ocean with the sun rising and no one spoke a word. The peaceful and private surrounding is very special. The kids enjoyed the heated pool as temperatures dropped to 16 degrees outside.
We felt at home right away. The garden is an absolute highlight. We had the chance to pick blackberries and fresh salad, unbelievable. Swansea and the next grocery store is just a few minutes drive away so the location is just perfect.
If you want to spent a few days away and recharge your batteries without other people, away from tourists in a perfect house, this is the place to stay. Thank you Charmaine, we loved it!

Best holiday house!

Please ignore the TV in this house. You won't need it. Instead, you have 180-degree views over Great Oyster Bay. An amazing, endless real-life screensaver featuring birds, wildlife, sea life and ever-changing weather. You will need to eat and drink occasionally, so distract yourself from the view briefly with the generously equipped kitchen. The Freycinet area is so much more than Wineglass Bay (although that is amazing too), and I couldn't think of a better place to base yourself when visiting. We had great lunches at the nearby Craigie Knowe and Milton wineries, but best of all was collecting fresh local oysters from Melshell Oyster Shack, just five minutes up the road.Charmaine was an excellent host, super responsive when we needed her and genuinely invested in our comfort and experience.Definitely added to our list of places to come back to.

You don't need TV!

We had no idea where we wanted to go and we selected via the filters waterfront and pool and Charmaine’s place was the first on the list. There was no going back after seeing the property. It hit a cord and it lived up to expectations. What a special home. We had a wonderful stay, the view is something else and the heated pool an extra treat. Lots to do in the area from wineries to Freycinet. Would happily stay again.
