Nestled amongst the gumtrees in the rugged Alpine Outback of the Snowy Mountains, lies Common Kosci. A custom-built, luxury designed holiday cabin for rest and play.
Common Kosci invites guests to unwind, reset and enjoy nature from the comforts of the cabin. The ever-evolving alpine landscape is evident from throughout the cabin, watch the kangaroos graze, echnidnas crawl and deers skip past.  Every nook and detail has been designed for ultimate effortless comfort.
Built to be aligned with the natural landscape and its surroundings, one may think they are camping in the bush thanks to the builder’s vision for a family home that gives the experience of a camping holiday only without the sacrifices of modern comforts.
Spend your days lazing around the cabin from the outdoor hammocks, large custom built sofa, quiet nooks to curl up into or use the cabin as a base to explore Australia's alpine playground including renowned Kosciuszko National Park home to Australia's highest peak and popular ski resorts Thredbo and Perisher.
Sydney based architect Alan Powell and a local builder collaborated to design moveable black boxes, consciously crafted for a simple, restful and nature fuelled stay. A contemporary take on the humble Aussie "bush shack".
Structurally the cabin is built for the elements and includes floor to ceiling double glazed windows for the north/east facing views,  wool carpets for insulation, double insulation and multiple heating devices including panel heaters in every room, a 'click on' gas fireplace, underfloor heating and an outdoor fire pit perfect for unwinding and roasting marshmallows wherever your day may have lead to.  Modern commodities and luxury design are evident throughout the 80-square metre cabin to allow for ease and simple living. A state of the art custom kitchen, complete with al the modern appliances including gas stove, dishwasher and microwave, pod machine with a large native timber island centred in the cabin to encourage slow, mindful cooking, grazing and dining. Guests can enjoy artisan tea brand Love Tea during their stay and the pantry will always be stocked with marshmallows for toasting on the fire. Soft lighting and handmade pendants have been carefully positioned as well as multiple nooks for the kids to play or the parents to retreat to and enjoy those quiet moments. Natural sunlight pours into the north facing home to add warmth for those restful days snuggled up under a woollen throw.
Skylights above each bed allow guests to gaze from the comfort of their beds to the clear Alpine starlit skies found only removed from the city's landscapes. Underfloor heating in both the modern vanity and bathroom ensure winter mornings are welcomed underfoot. For all the adventure seekers, guests have a mudroom on entry, including a bench seat to offload their adventure wares and dry off for the next outdoor escapade. Unwind under the stars in our hot tub, while your kids run free and safely on the land out front. Rise to the fresh Alpine air from the outdoor shower for those willing, gaze out to the kangaroos grazing and hear the kookaburras laughing all while you bask in the natural rugged surroundings from the comfort of Common Kosci. With nature at your doorstep, trees to climb, hills to explore, nooks to hide inside and the memories of roasting marshmallows under the clear star lit nights, it won’t be only the kids wanting to come back again and again.
