Dushi Curacao Ocean Resort

Our honeymoon was even better thanks to the stay in Jo's apartment! The accommodation is absolutely wonderful, not least with its own jetty right outside. The snorkeling equipment that was available to borrow also allowed us to explore the lagoon and see lots of nice fish – really a great experience!
Jo is also incredibly quick to respond and very helpful, which we really appreciated during our stay.
We can warmly recommend the accommodation and would have been more than happy to come back!

Best honey moon! imaginable!

The appartment is very comfortable. Snorkling sets provided, good utilities like washing machine and airco. Kitchen very well equiped. And from the sun deck, you jump right into the lagoon. Cristal clear water 🤩.

Jump right into the lagoon!

We recently had the extreme pleasure of staying at Dushi Curacao Ocean Resort for our vacation this year. The condo was very beautiful and well kept with everything needed to cook a meal inside or grab a towel and head to the private beach for a quick swim. The view of the waterway was extraordinary. The grounds were pristine and we enjoyed the very clean pool and lots of lounging chairs for everyone. The gated resort is moments from Mambo Beach with shops and restaurants so no need to drive anywhere for meals. We couldn't say enough nice things about the condo within this Resort and definitely plan on returning.

Extraordinary stay

This was our first trip to Curaçao, and we didn’t quite know what to expect. But we can honestly say that without this apartment, the experience would have been something completely different.
The luxury of waking up in the morning and looking out over the stunning blue colors of the lagoon, sitting on the edge of the dock watching fish in the crystal-clear water, the moonlight over the lagoon in the evening, and the sunrises with a cup of coffee all created a deep sense of calm and a feeling of “Dushi Bida” — the good life.
You might think it peaks when watching frigatebirds dive for food as the sharks are fed at the aquarium, or when a pelican glides low across the lagoon. But then you go out into the lagoon yourself, into the 27-degree warm water, snorkeling at the surface as if you were inside an aquarium. Fish of all sizes and in every color of the rainbow swim around you in the clearest water you will ever experience.
The apartment has a large refrigerator with a freezer. It was also the only apartment that had a proper, conventional oven instead of a microwave/convection combo oven. This was especially important for us due to food allergies, as all meals had to be prepared at home. We found that the combination microwave/convection ovens in the other apartments we stayed in were not suitable for cooking at all, so having a normal, fully functioning oven in this apartment made a significant difference for us.
When we arrived, everything was tidy and clean, and all kitchenware was clean and functional. This was the only apartment on our trip where the cleaning met our expectations. It was also reassuring to know that the entire area is gated, and you need a remote to access the property.
The location is central if you want to take a walk along Mambo Beach and visit restaurants for food or drinks. We can highly recommend Olas y Copas, located just across the bridge toward the aquarium, for a great cocktail at sunset.
We stayed here for about 14 days before moving on, and we immediately felt a sense of heartbreak leaving what had become our new paradise. We would like to thank Jo for letting us experience this wonderful place — communication was easy, pleasant, and efficient.
We will return to Dushi again as soon as the opportunity arises.
