This garden is full of exotic plants that rarely grow in Ireland but thrive in Crookhaven due to its mild climate that benefits from the warmth of the Gulf stream right on the wild Atlantic way.All accommodation is ground floor accommodation entrance hall leading to 4 bedrooms.Master bedroom en suite shower/sauna room with sea view.Double bedroom en suite shower room,two twin bedrooms . . Family bathroom with bath and shower at the end of the hall.Kitchen/living/dining room with open fire and sliding doors to patio and barbecue area with stunning sea views. Features; Gas fired central heating,open fire.electric cooker/hob, dishwasher,fridge/freezer,washer/dryer,TV.Travel cot and highchair available upon request . internet wifi.</p>

ANCHOR HAVEN

Had an amazing week at Anchor Haven celebrating my husbands 50th with all the family. Extra special as this house is beautifully situated over the bay looking at my father in laws childhood home. The house is fully equipped with everything you need. On arrival, there were fresh flowers from the garden displayed beautifully around the house. The area itself is breathtaking of course the locals are extremely welcoming. We had an amazing week and will certainly be back.

Just spent a wonderful week at Anchor Haven with my children and grandchildren. The house is beautiful with everything you need and the garden is amazing. The grandchildren loved to go crabbing from the private pier and kayaking . Crookhaven is a lovely village and we met Wally the Walrus who was there for a couple of days before disappearing again. As I was born in this part of the world will definitely be back.

Three generation holiday

We spent a week here in early June as the country slowly emerged from the Covid-19 lockdown. The description of the house is everything it's advertised as - and more. The position of Anchor Haven on the bay and a mere 3-minute walk to the village centre makes it a wonderful location. The village itself is charming and the locals were extremely welcoming, making us feel very much at home. The two pubs, O'Sullivan's and the Crookhaven Inn were restricted to outdoor service, as was Nottages restaurant, where the food was delicious. There are four beaches nearby including the well-renowned Barley Cove Beach while the Mizen peninsula is full of beautiful places to visit and explore. The house is well stocked with modern appliances and is constantly being upgraded. On the day we were leaving a new boiler was being installed.  The owners, Suzanne and John were very helpful from the moment we booked six months ago until the day we left. They were also very responsive. We had a problem with a utility on our first morning which we reported to John. Within a couple of hours he was out with us and rectified it. There was a very practical welcome pack awaiting us when we arrived which included a big supply of bagels and a bottle of wine. All very much appreciated. We look forward to returning soon to this little piece of Heaven on the far south west coast of Ireland.

On arrival, there were fresh flowers from the garden displayed beautifully around the house. The area itself is breathtaking and the local people are extremely helpful and welcoming. 
We had an amazing week and the host John was very so helpful.

Pure tranquility !

My family and I recently visited Anchor Haven in Crookhaven down in west cork and had a wonderful time. We stayed for two weeks and it wasn't enough! The house was clean and exceeded our expectations as far as the view and amenities. The house is perfect for families with young children and walking distance to the town's pub and restaurants. The property was in great condition and the owner was easy to work with. We will definitely be back.
