Dark Canyon Cabin & Tent

Our stay at Dark Canyon Cabin was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found something special. The cabin was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The peaceful setting and breathtaking scenery made it the perfect place to relax after spending our days exploring southern Utah. You can tell the owners have put so much thought into every detail. Everything was well-maintained, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. This was one of those places that made our trip even more memorable, and we were genuinely sad to leave. One of the highlights of our stay was an evening thunderstorm. We sat outside on the porch and watched the lightning roll across the sky while listening to the rain. Between the incredible views, the solitude, and the peaceful atmosphere, it was exactly the reset we needed. If you’re looking for a place to escape the crowds, unwind, and soak in the beauty of nature, I can’t recommend Dark Canyon Cabin enough. We made so many wonderful memories here and would absolutely stay again. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

A hidden gem in Utah

I have visited Cedar Mesa and many surrounding ruins and art panels for about 30 years. There has never been anything like this on Cedar Mesa, and it made our stay so much simpler than camping. We stayed in our own pop-up tent, but others used the beds in the main cabin and the wonderful, large glamping tent. We have no complaints!! So fortunate to have found this place with the outdoor kitchen and shower. We used the pizza oven to make pizzas and toast bagels and even toast garlic bread. All utensils and plates are provided, making cooking simpler. The isolation is unique and appreciated, no other people around and wildlife to entertain everyone.

We always camp out and have evolved our equipment to do a week in the desert with our own food and water. But having his place is a game changer! Especially all the water, refrigerator, propane, stoves, and internet access to stay connected as needed.

If you are considering a stay, don't hesitate for a moment, just reserve this wonderful place and you will not be disappointed.

The Oasis we needed for a 6 day adventure

My family and I stayed out here for a week this May and it was by far the best place we could have chosen. It’s very private with so much space and beautiful views of the Bears Ears and the stars at night! My boyfriend and I stayed in the glamping tent which has an electric fireplace that warms the tent up perfectly on the colder nights and made it so cozy. It’s rare to find such a great place in this area that’s so close to many of the great hikes and overlooks. Corbin stopped by and told us the story about the place and it was so cool to hear how it was developed and he was such a great guy. Definitely could not recommend this place enough! We will be making it back out there soon.

10/10 amazing place to stay

A group of 8 of my family stayed at Dark Canyon for a week and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The property is secluded but in the middle of all the best hikes in the Bears Ears area. Corbin is a terrific laid back guest and his property is expertly arranged, clean and well stocked. It is a truly one of a kind experience in this area or anywhere else. We cannot wait to return.

Amazing Secluded Property

We stayed 3 nights on the property for our 10-year anniversary, along with our dog. We adored the deck and outdoor kitchen. The location turned out to be perfectly central for all of our hiking and exploring around Bears Ears. It was the best place to stay for our first visit ever to the area.

A dream, even in the rain
