High quality, peaceful, idyllic, truly rural, character cottage in the Perthshire countryside. Stunning country views and just the place to recharge and target your own"wellness". We are very dog friendly with a secure garden. We sit right on the Cateran Trail if you are a walker and there are many more walking and outdoor options for you only a short distance away. Situated just before the village of Ballintuim, between Blairgowrie & Pitlochry, Bolthole Cottage is a very cosy, comfortable, recently modernised 2 bed 2 bathroom cottage set in large gardens. It has superb views towards the Cairngorms and is a private and restful retreat for those who relish the Scottish countryside.

Bolthole Cottage Perthshire

A bonnier place we'd struggle to find,
Wi' peace for body, soul and mind,
The birds did sing, the trees did sway
An' time itself slipped soft away.
Wi' family close and faithful hounds,
We wandered thru these bonnie grounds,
Then hame to warmth, tae rest and cheer,
Wi' every comfort waiting here.
The BoltHole Cottage warm and bright,
A haven filled with pure delight,
Sae thanks to you fir sharing this,
A place sae rich in simple bliss.
We'll carry hame these cherished days,
The woods, the burns, the bonnie braes,
wi' grateful hearts we'll bid adieu,
Certain we'll find oor way back tae you!!!!

A Bonnie Place!!!!!

Thank you for a wonderful stay in this very special place. We never tired of the beautiful views from the house or the gentle sound of the sheep in the surrounding fields. Watching the variety of birds visiting the feeder was a daily pleasure along with catching a glimpse of the elusive white deer felt particularly magical. We leave with many happy memories - thank you for sharing it with us!! P.S disco kettle was a favourite!!!

A Very Special Place!!

Staying in The Bolthole surpassed our recommendations from friends.A glorious find!!! Our stay was delightful from beginning to end. Thank you for the welcome treats. Both inside and out - absolutely perfect. We loved the tower room (mezzanine) for a glass of wine and games. Our dogs settled in from the first minuteand we will all be sad to leave today. We will be back !!!

A Glorious Find!!!!

Arriving on a wet afternoon we were met with a lovely Easter welcome and handwritten card - such a considerate gesture!! The cottage itself exceeded all our expectations, everything catered for our stay, great amenities and a beautiful setting. it's a cosy, relaxing cottage and despite the fickle weather we managed to take advantage of the walks and seating areas.
We will most definitely be back. Thank you

Beautiful Setting!

Another lovely,( fourth stay) here at The Bolthole. We have been very lucky with the weather so enjoyed sitting outside watching and listening to the various birds …cuckoos, woodpecker and spotted a couple of red squirrels on the track.
Thank you for all the delicious goodies and treats to celebrate David's forthcoming big birthday.
Till the next time!!!
