Nantahala Lake Life

We have been coming to Nantahala Lake for years and it doesn’t get much better than this house. Theres a nice cement driveway down to the house which opens things up to incredible views. The house is situated facing west so the sunsets are amazing. Whether you’re there to just relax or go explore and adventure the house was perfect. We highly recommend and will be back again.

Perfect family mountain getaway.

Great accommodations for the group. Clean. Well stocked and everything in great working order. Its pristine. Would highly recommend

Wow. Awesome place

We had the pleasure of staying at the NantahalaLakelife cabin in late June 2026. It was a group vacation for three couples, and we were more than satisfied with the cabin. The men had a lot of fun downstairs playing pool & darts. They stocked the wet bar and played their sports on the big screen TV. Meanwhile, the ladies enjoyed socializing in the huge fully stocked kitchen or on one of the two comfortably furnished wraparound patios. The second level patio sits among the treetops, which created a constant breeze. I personally could sit on that patio and listen to the leaves rustle for hours. One night the Lake’s End Marina even set off fireworks for an early July 4th celebration. We watched from the dock, and it was like our own personal show.
When it came to the sleeping accommodations, this cabin could not have been more perfect for us. With three couples, it was nice that we all had king-sized beds on three different floors. That’s right, THREE KING BEDS! We didn’t have children with us, but this place would be perfect for a big family to get together as there were three additional queen/full size beds as well.
Each morning my husband and I took a walk for exercise. Several days were spent on the lake, one afternoon we drove into Highlands for lunch and boutique shopping and another day touring the area to view the waterfalls and hit the pubs in town. Honestly though, the cabin is the destination. There is really no reason to leave once you are there!!! I can’t wait to go back to NantahalaLakeLife!

Nestled Among The Treetops

This cabin is perfect for the busy family that needs a break from the hustle and bustle. Sitting on the porch and watching the sunset over the Smokey Mountains behind the Nantahala Lake was spectacular. The cabin itself is beautiful and the darts and pool table were definitely used when the weather wasn’t exactly cooperating. We loved it!! 5 stars only because 6 wasn’t an option!!

Soaking it all in.

My husband have been coming here since the early 2000's and it never disappoints. It doesn't matter what time of year. There is always plenty to do and the lake house is beautiful year round. Highly recommend.
