Welcome to the countryside! With our serene mountain setting comes some rustic realities:

 (elk, deer, bears, coyotes, bobcats, etc.) are common. Always be alert and do not leave trash or food outside.</li>

 are a part of nature:</li>

 <li>Miller moths may appear from mid-May to early June. LED traps and plug-ins are in place during their peak.</li>
 <li>Cluster flies are common in fall, especially near sunny windows. Expect to sweep occasionally.</li>
 <li>Field mice may appear in late fall. We have external and internal mitigation systems (plug-ins and traps). This is normal for country homes, especially log cabins.</li>

A Creek Runs Through It Luxury Log Home

We rent many cabins in our many years of retirement and we typically select the best of the best everywhere we go.  We always look for unique places, accessible and with great reviews.  After our 10 year search of a great vacation home, we realized this is in our top 5.  The pictures do not do it justice.  It is much more beautiful and spectacular and words cannot describe the energy and positive energy this place has.  The views, wildlife, creek and pond all seem to be surreal.  Vanessa is an amazing host.  She made sure we were comfortable and cozy during our stay since temperatures dropped a little but this home is very well insulated and warm.  Thank you!

We were blown away by the incredible hospitality! The house is nothing short of perfection - spotlessly clean and it is evident that every single detail was thoughtfully planned with so much care and attention.  From the second we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home.  We can truly see the love and effort you have put into creating such a wonderful space for your guests. Blown Away!

We were so lucky to reserve this beautiful cabin since we had tried many times but it was always reserved. The pictures do not reflect the magic of this place.  They just got some snow so everything sparkled and the view of the mountain was incredible.  The skies were so clear that we watched a meteor shower.  We got to enjoy the gold fish and the beautiful hikes.  The inside of the house is so dreamy - right out of the movies.  We highly recommend and can see why you host may repeat guests. Thank you once again.

Winter Wonderland

We reserved the home for our honeymoon. And it was so magical and romantic.  The home is incredible. We sat on the deck by the fire and enjoyed a meteor night and could see the milky way from the deck. The bedroom is luxurious with a nice firm mattress.  We went on a short hike to the Rainbow Trail. We cooked and baked cookies and had everything we needed. Vanessa was a great host.  Left us a bottle of wine and roses to celebrate our union. Definitely will be back and wish we could keep this a secret!

Simply Gorgeous

I saw this listing on Facebook and it said it was like being in a Hallmark movie and sure enough - the house is gorgeous and the pictures do not do it justice. The setting is in a privately gated community nestled in the Sangres. You come up this long Aspen lined driveway and see a glorious bear statute greeting you and then you see this amazing log home. Upon opening the door your eyes are just in awe at the vaulted ceiling, the views, the bear chandelier and marveled by the charming decorations - just like a house in a Hallmark movie. We did not want to leave and recommend this place and the hosts. Thank you Vanessa!
