La Marisol

This was our second stay at La Marisol and we enjoyed our stay as much as our first visit! The location of the house is perfect. Everything is literally steps from the front door, but the house is very peaceful and quiet. Having both a washer and dryer is a rare find in Europe, and also a large kitchen with everything one might need to prepare full meals. It is the perfect spot to explore L'Isle and The Luberon Valley. We hope to be able to come back for a third stay sometime soon!

A wonderful second stay at La Marisol!

We had the best time at Frank's place. The house has everything that you need and Frank is a great host with lots of helpful tips.

A fantastic base to explore the villages of the Luberon and to simply enjoy picturesque L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The house feels lived-in and has some quirks - such as low, sloped ceilings in the main bedroom (not ideal if you're tall) - but overall was a pleasant small-village home for 5 nights.

We loved our stay at La Marisol. The house is as lovely as it looks in the photos and the courtyard was a really relaxing, spot and quiet too. It is a calm oasis.Despite the heatwave the house was as cool as we wanted it to be due to the air-con on the first and second floors. The ground floor kitchen stayed fairly cool without air con. We were there for the second half of August and the area was lush green, with rivers full and flowing and the Sorgue was really chilly. It would be easy to spend 2 weeks just wandering around Isle, eating in the many restaurants, shopping in the market, boutiques and antique shops & admiring the beautiful clear water in which you can dangle your feet if you can stand the cold! There are loads of fantastic places to visit nearby and Frank has a list of top tips.Addition: I forgot to say in my feedback that we loved the ceramic ball that scented the ground floor. We managed to track them down to a lovely shop called Mannissa, so we have brought the smell of the house home with us and very nice it is too!
