Margaretta House

We stayed at Margaretta House for 2 weeks and it is simply the best so peaceful. Loved all the wildlife while walking around the property. The home is absolutely stunning and I feel privileged to have stayed here. Thank you so much to our awesome hosts Andrew and Liz. I would definitely recommend for family reunions a wedding or just for a holiday. The pool is awesome!

Simply The Best

Hi Elizabeth, we just wanted to say a huge thank you again - the weekend was genuinely perfect from start to finish. Goes without saying, the house is just beautiful! The apple crumble (and Moet!) was such a thoughtful touch and honestly one of the best we’ve ever had; everyone enjoyed it on Saturday 😊

We stayed at Margaretta House to celebrate my 30th birthday and had the most wonderful weekend. The house itself was absolutely beautiful and the grounds are stunning. We hosted a gorgeous dinner party, went for a swim, and enjoyed breakfast outside in the sunshine - it couldn't have been a more perfect setting. The kitchen was such a lovely space to gather in, and in the evenings we relaxed in the cosy living room by the fire.

We didn't want to leave.

Thank you again for everything, we’ll remember that weekend forever!

We’ll remember that weekend forever!

We had the very best time, Andrew and Liz could not have done any more to support. Every single room even utility room all absolutely spotless. Everywhere beautiful and the pool was a particular hit and was nice and warm considering it was December. We will 100% be back, we didnt want to leave! Thanks so much. 1000% recommended

Just...Wow 😍

Our wedding at Margaretta House was truly the most memorable day of our lives. Every single detail was perfect — from the stunning flowers and elegant gold cutlery to the breathtaking gardens and the romantic archway where we said our vows.
The champagne reception on the patio was absolutely fabulous, followed by a delicious two-course gourmet dinner beautifully prepared by Ginger Lily Catering. Then we danced the night away!
Our families stayed in the magnificent house, and the celebrations continued the next day with a wonderful barbecue by the pool. Everyone had the most incredible time — it was everything we dreamed of and more.

Our Wedding Day

Margaretta House is a truly special place. The property manages to blend history, grandeur, and cosy in a way that feels both luxurious and deeply cocooning. The gardens are immaculate, with wise old trees, thoughtfully tended spaces and pockets of wildness that invite you to relax, explore, re-wild yourself!

Inside, the house is decorated in a muted, elegant style that honours its heritage while offering every modern comfort. The kitchen is vast and perfectly designed for families or groups to cook, connect, and linger over meals together—whether around the big table or on the comfy sofas nearby. Don’t forget to take some snips of the glorious mint outside the kitchen door….

The owners are incredibly genuine and attentive, clearly passionate about creating a tailored experience for every guest. Though they’ve only recently taken on the house, they’ve already breathed new life into it, and it shows in every detail.

Whether you’re planning a weekend retreat, a longer holiday, or a special event like we did, Margaretta House is an utterly perfect setting. We wish the owners and all their future guests peace and fun.
