Snowmobile Trail located 1 mile down the road.  No wasting time loading and unloading sleds all day long.  Just RIDE!   Cadillac Snowmobile Festival just outside the front door. Top Notch SKIING & GOLF at Caberfae Resort (7 miles) & Crystal Mountian Resort (15 miles).  (By the way staying at this Lake House is much nicer & less expensive than any small hotel room! Adventure Island Amusement Park with go-carts, bumper boats, water slides, mini-golf, & more (1 miles). Pine River canoeing, tubing, paddle board, rafting, & more (10 miles). Hiking & Hunting on the 1000's of acres of State land 1 mile down the road because it is located near the heart of the Manistee Forest. Steelhead & Salmon Fishing at Tippy Dam (15 miles). ORV trailhead about 5 to 8 miles away. Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing Morel Mushroom Hunting is some of the best in the area. Little River Casino (30 miles). Fire pit for those marsh mellows & other goodies. Walk to Downtown Cadillac for Festivals, Shopping, & just to enjoy the Old Town Charm. Watch a video from Movie Library of over 200 movies VHS player or use the High Speed WIFI.  Enjoy the peacefulness of the area while reading a book & dangling your feet in the water. Lazy Acorn "The Blue Gill" on Lake Mitchell

The Blue Gill was the perfect spot for my brother and I to stay for a fishing weekend. Quiet location with enough parking for two trucks and a boat trailer and dock space for my 18-foot boat. The cabin was perfect for our needs, but we spent most of our time at the outdoor table, on the deck, or on the boat. Looking forward to staying here again.

Fishing Weekend

The rental was as described in the listing, making for a seamless check-in experience. The space was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, perfect for our stay. One of the best features for us was its pet-friendly policy. One thing to note is that the drive to Cadillac is about 15 minutes car drive from this location. We also appreciated the use of the kayaks so we didn’t need to drag along water toys.
Overall, a great choice for anyone looking for a hassle-free getaway with their pets!

Blue Gill Getaway

Our second time at the Blue Gill cabin. First time with Pontoon instead of fishing boat. Fits great on dock, even level step off to dock from Pontoon. It was mid 80's and humid, but house stayed cool, and sitting outside in the shade with a breeze felt just fine as well. House has what you need, and still had "the Goonies" movie that he have to watch every time there.
It's in a nice area with friendly people, we walked every morning and everyone we come across is friendly.
We are loyal customers and will stay again either Blue Gill or Yellow Perch. Both are nice.
