Introducing Dillon School House - Luxury in the countryside.
We are excited to introduce you to Dillon School House , a former school exquisitely transformed into a 10 person guest retreat. Nestled in central Ireland with views of Sliabh Bawn and near the serene River Shannon, it combines modern Scandi design and luxurious finishes, with many original features. A mere 7 mins drive from Lanesborough, Termonbarry, and Strokestown, 15 mins from Longford and Roscommon, and 35 mins from Athlone and Carrick-on-Shannon. 50mins from Ireland West Airport.
Dillon School House, your perfect base for exploring Irelands Hidden Heartlands.

Dillon School House

We stayed at the Dillon School House as a group of seven, and everything was truly phenomenal. The photos online are impressive, but seeing the place in person is on another level — spacious, beautifully finished, and full of charm.

The facilities were excellent, with so many thoughtful touches throughout the property. From the luxury bathroom products to the abundance of fresh towels, everything felt carefully considered and high-quality. The location is peaceful and scenic, perfect for a relaxing countryside escape.

This place suits absolutely any kind of group. We were a team of colleagues on a work getaway, but it would be just as ideal for families, couples, or anyone looking for a mix of comfort and style.

A special shout-out to Liam, the host. He couldn’t have been more helpful — offering local recommendations, arranging a late checkout, and even providing a taxi contact when needed. His hospitality really elevated the whole experience.

Overall, it’s a 10/10 from us. We would recommend Dillon School House without hesitation, and we genuinely can’t wait to come back!

Spectacular!! Even better in person!!
