The Lodge Christchurch is a lovely studio retreat with garden views that sleeps four, plus dogs are very welcome. We also have an EV charger (cost apply)
The lodge is situated at the bottom of our garden with its own patio area and outdoor firepit.
We are very close to wonderful St Catherine's Hill nature reserve and award winning Bournemouth beaches and it's the perfect location to enjoy days out in the New Forest National Park or to explore the Purbecks and Jurassic Coast.
The Lodge is an open plan, self contained space with a double bed and Futon Sofa bed which sleeps up to 4. It has full kitchen facilities with cooker, electric hob, built in larder fridge freezer, microwave and kettle with tea and coffee provided. The shower room has a walk in shower with loo, bidet and sink.
High-speed WiFi and TV are standard. Off-road parking is available for one car and we also have an electric charge point (charges apply).
There is a log burner (with wood provided) plus an electric heater. Please note whilst children and pets are welcome the log burner is only protected with a small guard.
The Lodge is accessible through the garden - it would be recommended to keep dogs on a lead and note that we have rabbits in a hutch close to the house.
Access to the Lodge is through its own entrance into the garden of the main house. The Lodge has its own patio area and furniture for al fresco dining plus a firepit to keep warm on summer evenings and toast marshmellows!
The lodge sleeps four in two double beds. We welcome families, couples and friends, however please note if both beds are used the living space is less and ask you to be aware of this for extended stays if you have older children or if there are more adults than 2. Any questions please just ask us!
A little about us -
We are a family with three children aged between 8 and 14 and will welcome to you our property but will very much leave you alone! We have a male cocker spaniel who loves to say hello but please do let us know if you have any concerns with dogs and we will keep him out the way!
We will provide a house manual and will be on hand for any recommendations in the local and we will be available in person or via mobile during your stay.
The Lodge is quite simply a lovely place to relax and explore Dorset!

The Lodge - Christchurch

Stephanie and her family are fantastic hosts and her lodge was the nicest place to stay we had on our trip in Dorset and Kent.

After a warm welcome with a delicious homemade cake from Stephanie we settled in into the comfortable and very clean lodge and felt totally well.

Nothing was missing: good and complete kitchen equipment, espresso machine, comfortable beds and a very tasteful decoration.

What we particularly liked was the own private terrace, where we could sit together and relax after exploring Christchurch and the beautiful surrounding. There is even a private fireplace, where you could light a bonfire on colder evenings.

All in all it was a perfect stay and we'd love to come back to this truly unique place.

Thank you for all Stephanie and best wishes

Sören and family

We loved our stay

We throughly enjoyed the stay in the lodge. Everything was perfect, bed was comfy, kitchen/bathroom was neat and clean, in general nothing negative to point out. Thanks for the cake, we loved it.

Great accommodation, hidden gem!!

Perfect for a couple of nights away lovely and comfy and clean, great little place for a mini break xx

Perfect mini break

I stayed with my son for several days when he was playing a tennis tournament nearby. The hosts are super friendly, flexible and helpful.

We found The Lodge to be perfect for our needs, modern, comfortable and in a relaxed setting. Parking was easy with a space at the house.
