The Japanese-inspired bathhouse is the centrepiece. Enclosed but opening wide to the farmland beyond, it’s reached via timber duckboards from the loft. The deep soak bath is perfect for early mornings or evenings. The outdoor laundry is on the same walkway, blending convenience with gentle connection to the outdoors. Inside, the open-plan living space features a wood fire, simple kitchen, books, board games, and Sonos speakers. No TV — just time to disconnect, relax, and enjoy the rhythm of country life. Wildlife visits regularly — wombats, kangaroos, koalas, and echidnas — and the stars are spectacular at night. Surrounding farmland adds to the sense of space and calm. We have help available if you need it — you won’t see the owners or managers in person, but Fleur or Lisa are always just a phone call away. Local help is also available if required during your stay. Review C/O airbnb -Liptrap Loft had been a dream destination for years and now I wish it hadn't taken me so long! It exceeded every expectation. The remoteness and pared-back aesthetic are perfectly balanced with every practical comfort one could require — it really is a most effortless escape and a genuine opportunity to decompress. I particularly enjoyed observing the birdlife and their comings and goings, and the surrounding wildlife proved rather delightful too — foxes spotted on more than one occasion, and what I believe may have been a deer early one morning. There is a certain magic to this place that is genuinely difficult to articulate. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We'd admired Liptrap Loft on Instagram for years and travelled interstate just to stay here. It exceeded every expectation.

It's remote. Tank water, septic, and you take your own rubbish home. But that's exactly the point. The distance from everything is the gold. You feel a genuine connection to the land.And then the wood fire, the bathhouse, the quietly considered luxuries and a gazillion stars above remind you that this is anything but rough.

We'll be back. Next time, a week. Maybe two.
