There’s something magical about the Smoky Mountains during the holiday season. 🍂🎄 From Thanksgiving through Christmas and into the New Year, Bear Claw Vista is the perfect place to slow down, make memories, and enjoy the mountains together.
November brings crisp mountain mornings and beautiful fall scenery. Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to escape to the Smokies, spend time with family, enjoy a holiday meal together, and explore the area's attractions.
And then the Christmas season comes alive! Spend your days exploring, shopping for Christmas gifts in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, enjoying Dollywood's holiday celebrations, or taking in the millions of twinkling lights throughout the area. Then return to Bear Claw Vista for a peaceful evening in the mountains.
🎄 The Christmas season arrives early in the Smokies! Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas begins November 6, bringing more than 6 million twinkling lights, holiday shows, seasonal treats, and Christmas shopping to the park. December is filled with even more holiday lights, shows, shopping, and festive activities throughout Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
We decorate Bear Claw Vista tastefully for both fall and Christmas, adding cozy seasonal touches without making the cabin feel crowded or cramped. You’ll get that warm holiday feeling while still having plenty of room to relax, play, and enjoy the views.
🌟 And when the holidays are over, ring in the New Year in the mountains! Enjoy a quiet getaway with family or friends, soak in the hot tub under the stars, gather around the fire pit or the cozy wood-burning fireplace indoors, and welcome the new year surrounded by beautiful mountain views.
And keep your eyes open for wildlife! A local mama black bear and her four cubs have made frequent appearances near the cabin this year. While wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, it’s not uncommon to spot black bears, deer, and even a turtle during your stay. On quiet evenings, you may also hear the whistle of the Dollywood train echoing through the mountains—a reminder that you’re close to the action while still enjoying the peace of your own mountain retreat.
