The Cottage has a coffee station with decaf coffee and tea. We have everything you would need to cook with dishes, silverware, pots and pans etc. The home has only one level and is easy to get around. There is over 2,000 sq feet. We have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 showers with a master suite. Enjoy our eat in kitchen. There is a game room with a large selection of DVD's Games and a PS2 gaming system.&nbsp;&nbsp;We also have a&nbsp;desk for your computer, perfect if you are working from home. There is a futon for additional sleeping.&nbsp;&nbsp;We have a deck outside with a overhead (to enjoy if it rains) with 2 tables and enough room to accommodate&nbsp;over 8 people.&nbsp;Propane BBQ (we provide the propane). Fire pit to roast some marshmallows. There is a football size field were you can play some Corn hole or outdoor games.&nbsp; Relax and watch the deer or just bird watch and enjoy the hummingbirds feeding on our deck. Please do not leave any food or garbage out side. There are wild animals. (Bears)
The area is very nice, very peaceful and relaxing . There are several&nbsp;things to do in the area. ( Kayaking, Ziplining , Hiking, Golfing, Fishing )&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;If you have any questions you can contact us or our management team ! 
Windham Mountain Is great for skiing also Hiking only 15 min away. Hunter Mountain is also great for skiing as well as outdoor actives 20min away. Zoom Flume water park only 10 min&nbsp; away&nbsp;is great for the kids.&nbsp; The best Golf courses near by( Thunder Hart Golf course 6.5 miles)&nbsp; Hi-Way drive In- Theatre only 11 Miles away.&nbsp;Best Burger around is at Freehold County pub 5.7 miles. Nice place to eat with out door seating and live music&nbsp;Five Furlongs Tavern 3 miles .&nbsp; The best Italian Restaurant 'Piccolo dal Torrente " in Catskill.&nbsp;&nbsp;The old Factory Brewing company is a nice place to grab a beer right in town . The Chicken Run is one of the best places to eat with live music. Gracie's Luncheonette 11 miles. Hannaford Supermarket 5.1 miles ,Super Walmart 20 mins , Dalton donuts has great coffee and (Firewood) beer &Ice . Cumberland farms is opened 24 hrs.
If you don't drive you can take the TRAILWAYS bus right to Main Street in Cairo , pick them up from Karen's flower shop.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;It is about 7 minutes away from the house.
We do have extra fees&nbsp;&nbsp;ONLY if the place is left dirty.&nbsp; (&nbsp; Garbage, Dishes, etc, )

If you do not check out by noon you will be charged a full day rate.&nbsp; Sorry,&nbsp; the cleaning&nbsp; staff have to get in and sanitize the house.&nbsp; If we can accommodate a later check-in or check-out we can accommodate you.

King size bedroom, Outdoor fire pit, Game room 

Alexander was very responsive and made himself available as needed. The house was the perfect size for our group. It is a very nice, large house and the accommodations were excellent. It is located with easy access to all areas within East Durham as well as Cairo. I would highly recommend this rental.

Irish Festival Weekend

Our host Alexander was super responsive and the place itself is so cozy and beautiful. Everything was perfect. The place was super clean, has everything you need, and is a good distance from popular towns/spots. I definitely recommend and hope to come back one day!

Getaway

Alex's place was perfect for us for Makers Camp. A very clean, well laid out home only a mile and a half from Blackthorne. Sorry Guys, I already have it for 2026. Thank You again Alex

Makers Camp 2025

Great place with great accomodations. The wildlife is something beautiful every morning and night. 
This is our 2nd year staying. We will continue to book the cozy cottage. The hosts are more than helpful and easy to contact with any questions. We needed to extend our stay both years. And they made it happen with no stress and very quickly. They have been super for our stay.
