Palazzo from 1723, full of beauty and comfort

This is a wonderful stylish property beautifully decorated in lovely Galatina. It is ideally located in the old town and has a wonderful roof space with views over the city. All bedrooms had an ensuite bathroom and balconies looking onto the quiet street below which is mostly pedestrianised.The kitchen had a family-style dining table and was well-equipped. The host provides every facility including excellent WiFi and great air con in the bedrooms. He also gave great advice on local beaches, bars, and restaurants and was always available to answer any question big or small.Galatina is a wonderful town for exploring southern Puglia and we especially enjoyed our evenings during the festival as well as early morning walks to get coffee in the local square. It is about 30 mins to drive to each coast. Parking was easy to find using an almost universal App used across southern Puglia.I couldn’t recommend this property more highly - we had a wonderful time there and across the region.

Stylish property beautifully decorated in lovely Galatina

Thank you for a wonderful stay! We were 8 friends and really enjoyed ourselves during the week we stayed at Alexander's place. Situated in the old town of Galatina, the place is just beautiful, decorated with contemporary style yet respectful to the history of the building. You can enjoy a breathtaking view from the rooftop terrace. There is enough room for everyone as the appartement is more than spacious.Alexander prepared a great list of recommendations for bars, restaurants, beach clubs that was great help. Parking is easy all over town, you can do a couple of minutes away from the house.Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking forward for a calm yet stylist getaway!

Stylish and Spacious Retreat

Our family chose Alexander’s stunningly designed and spacious 300 year-old palazzo as our base to explore Salento. This place is a gem and a wonderful host experience. After a day at the beach on either the Adriatic or Ionian coast (no shortage of incredible spots), we'd return to the palazzo and walk out for dinner through the stone-paved streets of Galatina’s historical centre to a wide array of restaurant choices. Also close by: lovely coffee shops, bakeries, and stores. The historic city of Lecce ("Florence of the south") is 20-minutes away. Our young adult kids felt safe at all times when they stayed out late. The palazzo’s rooftop golden hour is memorable with the careening swifts competing with the church bells in their song. There's a thoughtfulness to everything at Alexander's place. We were most comfortable and would return. So much more to explore. Highly recommend!

The palazzo of Alexander was spacious, tastfully decorated, authentic and very clean. Alexander was a friendly, dedicated host, yet discrete and respectfull regarding our privacy. Galatina is a real treasure with an authentic italian vibe. It is a very good home base to discover the region of Salento!

Charming Stay at Alexander's Spacious Palazzo in the Heart of Authentic Galatina

We were a family of 7 who spent an incredible week at the Palazzo Elefante della Torre in Galatina. From the moment we arrived, were impressed by the beauty of the building and the way that the restoration had been carried in such a sympathetic way, where the old architectural features were complemented by modern pieces of art and furnishings.Alexander was always available to offer useful recommendations for restaurants, beaches and day trips, and it was a pleasure to make his acquaintance. The palazzo is spacious, so all of us felt that we had plenty of room to relax and socialise, and Galatina offered a wide range of restaurants, cafes and bars. The outdoor space with the plunge pool was very popular as a place to relax at the end of the day, and as the palazzo is situated in a quiet, pedestrian street, we were able to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep.We would highly recommend the palazzo as a holiday destination in a part of Italy that has so much to offer.
