Summit Pass sits minutes from the Snowshoe Mountain Resort in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. The Snowshoe&nbsp;Village offers restaurants, gear shops, and après-ski entertainment. Summer brings the Snowshoe Bike Park (former UCI World Cup venue), Raven Golf Club, and the Cass Scenic Railroad. There is space to park about 5 cars on the gravel driveway just outside the house. If you're looking for a more secluded retreat with a private cold plunge, hiking trail, and creek on five acres, check out&nbsp;our sister property, Birch Valley Retreat — also a 4BR Boundless Retreats lodge. ***4WD is required during winter months, and chains are recommended for emergencies. Please park only in the house's driveway—parking elsewhere in the neighborhood may result in fines or towing.
While the Snowshoe area offers the amenities and comforts of a beautiful mountain resort, it is quite remote. Cell service will be unavailable for at least an hour before arrival, so please print or screenshot all check-in details, WiFi information, and essential guest instructions. Once at the lodge, Starlink WiFi is provided, but cell coverage may be spotty depending on your carrier. The Resort Village at Snowshoe Mountain offers both WiFi and cell service. Starter supplies are provided, including toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods, shampoo, hand soap, laundry detergent and coffee. Longer stays may require purchase of additional supplies. We stayed here for our Family Girls' Weekend and had a fantastic experience. There were eight of us, and the cabin offered plenty of space for everyone to relax and feel comfortable. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus and perfect for unwinding in the evenings. The location was peaceful and quiet—ideal for our getaway—and conveniently located for our visits to Snowshoe and Shavers Lake. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and the bathrooms and linens were well-prepared and plentiful. Our host was friendly, easy to reach, and quick to respond to any questions we had. If we find ourselves in the area again, I would absolutely love to stay here again. Highly recommended!

This cabin was the perfect getaway, with peaceful surroundings, a lovely large yard and nearby trails. Ted was super responsive, and was incredibly gracious and accommodating with several last minute changes that ended up happening. Also, I’ve been to a lot of Airbnbs, and this was one of the cleanest and best prepared I’ve ever seen. Highly recommend!
