King’s Point cottage is situated on picturesque Eggemoggin Reach, one of the most scenic areas of the Maine coast.  Adjacent to Penobscot Bay, home of one of the world's largest fleets of historic wooden schooners, guests are often treated to the sight of these magnificent sailing vessels passing by. Just a stone's throw from the ocean, King's Point's shoreline is rocky and not easily accessed, however guests have the use of three private association waterfront areas - an ocean dock, ocean swimming beach, and Walker Pond lake beach. Hike the easy and nearby Lookout Rock Nature Preserve for spectacular views of Eggemoggin Reach, Penobscot Bay, and the Camden Hills.   Whether you want to take day trips to explore the Downeast area and Acadia National Park, or simply enjoy the natural beauty of the Maine coast, King’s Point is an ideal cottage for a Maine seaside vacation.  Guests choosing King's Point happily settle in and appreciate its simple, comfortable charm, lovingly maintained by the owners, whose family has owned the land since deeded to them by the King of England.   Tastefully furnished with comfortable beds, quality linens, a washer and dryer, and kitchen that includes the essentials and more, the cottage is open, airy, and clean.  A gas-fired stove along with electric heat is available for occasional chilly evenings.  Outside, guests will have privacy on the oceanside deck overlooking the historic Eggemoggin Reach and Little Deer Isle.
Serene and relaxing, guests often return - further assurance that those who choose King's Point will be pleased with their selection.  15 minutes to Blue Hill, an hour to Acadia National Park's entrance, and 20 minutes to Stonington Village, guests are near a variety of excellent eateries, unique shops and galleries, and easily-accessed hiking trails. KING'S POINT - SLEEPS 4, OCEANSIDE ON EGGEMOGGIN REACH

We wanted 2 BR but from the photos on the web site I did not realize 2nd bedroom was in a totally separate building requiring one to go outside to access it. We are elderly and this did not work for us - but having twin beds in the main cabin was acceptable. The view from the deck and kitchen was fantastic.

Did not realize queen bedroom was separate connected by breezeway...

The location is stunning, the cabin and furnishings rustic. Don’t upgrade anything.

Nothing fancy, and that’s how we like it...

The location is quiet and peaceful — we spotted bald eagles and even a seal from the deck. As previously mentioned, the kitchen and bathrooms are dated but functional.

We enjoyed our week at this sweet waterfront cottage...

This simple but perfect little house (technically two connected by deck) was great value. A magical waterfront location with a nice little rocky and sandy beach for a dip, the changing views of Little Deer Isle from fog to sun and back again delighted us - whether from the deck or grassy yard or beach. Our family of 3 plus a friend found the digs perfect for our needs. Basic but comfortable and just right. On the most clear night, the stars were some of the best I’ve seen in my life.Oakland House Inn next door has good food (and some great beaches to explore too). And in general, this whole area is awesome (Pugnuts for ice cream, El Frijoles for mexican, Craig Pond and Alamoosook for lake swimming, etc).

On the most clear night, the stars were some of the best I’ve seen in my life...

Great view from house/deck right on Eggemoggin Reach. Bald eagles overhead, loons calling in the morning, Terns diving, cormorants fishing, osprey in pairs … plenty of crows. Lovely, cool spot to while away the days.
