QUARRY HOUSE - PEACEFUL QUARRY-SIDE, PRIVATE, OFF-GRID

Wonderful place next to a copper pond, surrounded by pine and maple trees. The cabin has a great living room and open kitchen with top to bottom windows to admire the views, two wooden decks, a bathroom and a bedroom as well as a floor upstairs to study or relax. As this is an off grid cabin you have to be mindful of water and electricity consumption but has all amenities and comfort for a great stay. There is a healthy population of cyprinidaes in the pond and I’ve witnessed a black bear strolling on the patio late at night. Brenda and Chelsea are friendly and knowledgeable about the place and have great recs/are responsive to any question.

Highly recommend for couples or small families looking for a secluded place close to nature...

The house is amazing - quaint and quiet. It’s located close enough to everything outdoors we wanted to do yet far enough away to really get a break. The hosts were gracious and quick with replies. Would recommend this home to anyone looking to really unplug.

Wonderful long weekend

The Quarry House is positively magical. Sitting perched over the calm waters, and nestled in the peaceful woods, the cottage offers, many cozy reading spots, a super, comfortable bed, and a well equipped kitchen. All the comforts of a home away from home, this is perfect spot for your Downeast adventure. Brenda and Chelsea from Blue Hill Bay were super attentive hosts. Hope to come back next year!
