Oceanfront in East Blue Hill. This well - maintained cottage provides amazing views of Blue Hill Bay and Mount Desert Island. Relax on the deck and watch seals, eagles, ospreys and loons.  A path takes guests to the family dock to launch kayaks and swim off the granite boulders. This cottage has three bedrooms, one full bath with shower, a roomy kitchen with dishwasher, large dining table, as well as a washer and dryer, TV with Roku stick, and fiber optic Wi-fi.  Conveniently located halfway between Blue Hill and Ellsworth for day trips to Acadia National Park and surrounding towns.

LONG VIEW COTTAGE in East Blue Hill

I stayed for just over two weeks, working remotely for part of the time (easy, reliable wifi connection!). The view over the bay in the early morning and by moonlight, the tides going in and out, the birds--all of it was spectacular. The home itself is a true Maine cottage, clean, clearly loved by the owners--it was such a treat to be there. The kitchen is exactly as described--everything you would need to cook proper meals (truly enjoyable!), and the living areas and bedrooms are spacious and cozily furnished. The location is also perfect, with easy access to town and many lovely hiking trails in the peninsula (not only Acadia, though of course it's special!). Huge thanks to Brenda and Chelsea for making it all so easy, being very responsive and kind, and the care they clearly take of the place and guests!

This was an incredibly comfortable, private, peaceful place to stay...

The Longview Cottage was truly wonderful. The house has views out to Morgan Bay - always beautiful and changing. The cottage itself is a wonder in pine, beautifully constructed and maintained creating a really perfect Maine cottage. The kitchen is large and has every convenience. The sittinig areas too are large and comfortable. The location just next to the beach at Curtis Cove makes it pretty perfect. Our stay here was relaxing and private. We truly loved it.

Brenda and Chelsea were truly "on it" for everything.

Loved our stay!

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations! The home was cleanly, cozy and well stocked. The homeowners were kind and communicative and provided tons of helpful information about the area. We would return in a heartbeat for that incredible view! Thank you for helping make our honeymoon so special.

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations!

We were so fortunate to stay at this remarkably peaceful, private cottage set in the pines with lovely views of beautiful Curtis Cove. There are lots of water-facing windows and a nice deck to enjoy the quiet beauty as the tide changes. We enjoyed glimpses of wildlife including seals, Great Blue Herons, and seagulls. The hosts were lovely -- they were very accommodating and responded promptly. The cottage was very comfortable and clean. Altogether, it was a dream of a vacation on the Maine coast!
