The Apartment 23a

The landlords were both very nice and helpful. The key code allowed us to be independent even if we arrived late. Everything in the apartment worked, and all the important information was described again in a folder. We received a very nice welcome gift. One felt well cared for and welcome as a guest. We had the entire upper floor of the house to ourselves and were able to really relax. The most beautiful thing for me personally was the view outside from the children's room: Sheep under the window, a lonely road and high hills. That was unusual and great for us. On the way to Ballymena we thought our satnav was once again leading us along the narrowest and most remote roads instead of showing normal main roads, but that was the right thing to do. Once, when we were coming from the south, our satnav sent us off the main road again, down onto a narrow, lonely road, onto a high plateau like in Norway, just grassland and sheep, and as we drove down the hill and wondered where we had ended up, we just recognized the old dairy and had driven past our house. The small village of Glenarm is quite close, however, and lies on the incredibly beautiful Antrim Coastal Street. Although we unfortunately had very bad weather, one could imagine how beautiful this coastal road is in sunshine. Above all, you can see the water and the hills the whole time. There is only a low wall towards the water, no bushes or ferns to obstruct the view of the landscape. The landscape there is impressive: There is everything: Forest with waterfalls at Glenariff Forest, the sea with pretty little beaches and villages, lonely highlands and idyllic valleys, wonderful views from extremely narrow mountain roads and the north coast with the National Trust bays and the Giant's Causeway and the suspension bridge between the rocks. Since you have to drive anyway, everything is easily accessible from the apartment.

Superb

It was exceptional and our kids loved the place and we will surely come back again soon for more days. Everything was prepared very well, Clive and Denise were very welcoming to our family. Kids had lots of fun seeing the fairy trail and fishes and there were even loads of toys to keep them busy.

Exceptional!

Great location for a stop off between Belfast ferry port and Giant's Causeway. Denise and Clive were wonderful hosts with great attention to detail (such as activity packs for the kids, personalised touches). Our kids had a great time exploring the fairy garden and we all felt very welcome. Highly recommend.
