Decorated with a Moroccan theme, this light and airy space is also very cosy and romantic. Enjoy views of the river from decking/yoga space or the bed. The yurt is on its own private terrace surrounded by impressive schist stone walls and grape vines. &nbsp;This colourful and spacious yurt is great for couples and families wanting to reconnect with nature. The Yurt &nbsp;will comfortably fit 4 people (an extra bed can be provided for an additional child on request) making it great place to base your family holiday. &nbsp;&nbsp;In the summer months the open air roof offers a star gazing portal. During winter the cast iron wood stove provides ample heating and unique cooking experience with wood heated hobs and oven. &nbsp;&nbsp;There is also an indoor kitchen area with mini refrigerator,&nbsp;gas hobs, plus outdoor washing up facilities and a charcoal BBQ provided. All necessary utensils for cooking are provided.&nbsp; A Yoga mat is available as well as picnic blankets and garden furniture. &nbsp;&nbsp;The yurt is connected to our&nbsp;up-to-date solar system to provide plenty of evening lighting and can charge laptops, phones and many other small electrical devices. &nbsp;We have installed a gas powered hot water&nbsp;shower for all year use, so the yurt is now an even more comfortable space to be in. This ancient vineyard offers a stunning and unique get away. The yurt is situated on a stone walled terraced enclosed by grape vines. This offers guest privacy and seclusion with their own compost toilet.&nbsp; Walking trails that lead to the river can be accessed directly from the site. &nbsp;We can help guests with planning activities, such as hiking, fishing, water sports. We can give you details about the best places to explore, enjoy a picnic or eat out! &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The local lake is very popular with fishermen and prize winning carp and river bass can be caught. We can assist guests with obtaining a fishing license. &nbsp;The direct surroundings of Zezere eco holidays offers a splendid place to enjoy the peace and beauty of nature, to watch the birds or take part in some of the many activities available: &nbsp;1. Hiking trails 2. Mountain biking 3. Quad hire and go-karting 4. 4x4 off road thrill seeking tour 5. Paintballing 6. Kayak and canoe hire and tours 7. Speed boat and jet ski hire 8. Fishing with chances to catch Trout, Carp, Barbel, Tench, Bass and Bream. 9. Relax at one of the many river beaches also known as Praias Fluviais. They offer a safe place for the children to swim and amenities such as toilets and cafes. &nbsp;Visit all the picturesque villages in the direct surroundings such as Pedrogão Grande, Pedrogão Pequeno, Mosteiro. A little further down the road is the world heritage site in Tomar, or the historical university city of Coimbra just a 35 minute drive north. &nbsp;Own transport is advisable to make the most of your stay but we can arrange pick ups from the local town. &nbsp;We have plenty of safe parking available. &nbsp;&nbsp;We are only a short walk to the lake, and 30 minute hike to a high quality restaurant and river beach. &nbsp;Please bring with you drinking water and be aware that their is no refrigerator. A coolbox is provided with ice blocks that can we swapped over daily. &nbsp;There is lighting in the yurt and toilet, but please bring torches to help light your way as it is very dark if you return to site at night. The star gazing is amazing though! &nbsp;&nbsp;Please be aware that we provide bed linens but do not provide towels, as the washing load would be too much for our off-grid system. &nbsp;The access to the property is down a dirt track which is a little bumpy in places. &nbsp;&nbsp;As a rural holiday let we must advice that there are areas of uneven ground, hence we can not provide specific access for the infirm. &nbsp;The yurt is situated on the lower terrace and involves an at times steep walk from the car through the vineyard to the secluded terrace. Eco Stargazing Yurt- with river views, off grid & woodstove

We stayed in the Yurt for 6 days in July and had a great time. It was such a peaceful place to unwind and take in the views. The yurt was really comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped so it was easy to cook if you wanted to. You can even borrow a BBQ to use. The nearby town has a good café that was great value and lovely veggie/vegan restaurant. It was a short but steep hike down to the river to relax and swim and there are lots of places nearby to visit. Ian was a great host and was really helpful in giving us ideas of places to see and things to do. A great stay and really good value too, I'd definitely visit again.

Relax and Unwind

We enjoyed our short stay at Dragonfly Valley a lot. Ian and Pippa are lovely hosts and take care of everything that is needed to have a great stay and answered all our questions as we were curious about the off-grid lifestyle. Staying at the yurt was a special experience. We would definitely come again.

We had an amazing time at Ian and Pippa's place. It is beautiful with a lot lovely details and a stunning view in a peaceful and quite valley. The whole atmosphere is just amazing, even on rainy days! Thank you!
