Villa Al Parco Antico is a complex consisting of a 17th century tower, a 18th century manor house and rustic buildings, now renovated for residential use. The tower overlooked the only road in the area with access to Lake Garda, then called via gardesana di terra, a road that joined Bardolino with via gardesana dell'acqua. The function of the tower was to collect duties for the transit of goods.
The villa is surrounded by an English-style park, with numerous cedars
centuries-old. The old ice house and the Colombara, a rare
octagonal structure from the late 19th century on several floors, where animals were housed
 courtyard.
At the back of the villa, at the foot of the olive grove, stand the "three little houses", once rural buildings (barn, storage for goods,
carriages and horses). The complex stands at the foot of a hill, "mons
sachinus" (small mountain sacco) a romantic forest.
The "little house" that will host you is Casetta Centrale, a
old rural building renovated in an elegant and modern way in the center

of the barn, you will find yourself in a lovely corner of tranquility equipped with
barbecue, which can be used to make splendid grills in
 company.
Coming back into the house from the door that opens onto the garden and looking at your right, you will find the staircase that will take you to the first floor. Once you get up there
you will find the bathroom equipped with all the sanitary fixtures, a relaxing comfort area
equipped with a chaise longue that opens access to the first bedroom, composed by a double bedroom, very spacious walk-in closet and air conditioning.

Villa Al Parco Antico - Central House

My family and I had a wonderful holiday at Villa Al Parco Antico. We were four adults and two children and had more than enough space for everyone. The accommodation was very clean and well maintained, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The air-conditioning units in all rooms are modern and provide a pleasant indoor climate even on very hot days.

The living room is very spacious; an additional sideboard could be useful for placing books or other personal items brought along during the stay. All three bedrooms offer plenty of storage space for clothing and personal belongings.

The sofa is comfortable and offers enough seating for everyone. We especially loved the large glass door leading to the garden. We ate outside very often and also made use of the barbecue, which we can highly recommend.

There is a neighbour living right next door who always greeted us kindly and was never disturbing in any way.

The kitchen is equipped with almost everything you could need. There are pots and pans of all sizes, a coffee machine, toaster, microwave, kettle, dishwasher, and a large refrigerator with a freezer compartment. To make the stay even more comfortable, a few additional drinking glasses, one or two more cutting boards, and some small bowls (for cereal or yogurt) would be a welcome addition.

The bathrooms are excellent, and there is also a washing machine and a drying rack available for guests.

For any questions, such as waste disposal, Elena was available as our local contact person. We communicated with her in English. She showed us around the house, was very friendly, and was also available via WhatsApp whenever we had questions.

Many thanks to the owners for a wonderful stay. We would be delighted to come back and will gladly recommend this accommodation to our friends and family.

Excellent accommodation – highly recommended

The house is well located, a 5 minutes ride to lake Garda. It is very spacious, newly refurbished and very clean. The bedding was very comfortable and having 2 showers and toilets was a plus as we were 6. The lounge has 2 very comfortable sofas than can easily accommodate 6 people and the TV is connected which is great when you do not speak Italian.
The outside space was useful and we managed to eat outside a couple of times even though we did not try the barbecue.
There were a few minor points that could be easily improved to make this stay even more enjoyable:
- The bedroom outlooking the garden has no blind nor curtain of any sort so you are awake as soon as the sun is out.
- The dining room table is too high for the chairs
- There were 6 small color coded bins but no explanation as to how the recycling works and where to take it when the bins are full
- The kitchen lacked a few utensils: oven suitable dishes, cheese grater, table mats (for hot dishes), water carafe, vegetable peeler, serving dishes and bowls and a few more everyday glasses would have been appreciated.

All in all a very pleasant and good value stay!
