Lovingly built by skilled local craftsmen using premium oak and natural textures, The Orient Express is as much a celebration of traditional Welsh craftsmanship as it is a luxurious retreat. 
Inside, you’ll find a clever and cosy layout featuring a handcrafted king-sized bed, an dining table with seating for two, and a fitted farmhouse-style kitchen with a Belfast style sink and charming dresser stocked with crockery and utensils. 
Your morning rituals are made extra special thanks to the inclusion of a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine, complete with a starter pack of coffee pods, ideal for savouring a quiet start to the day surrounded by stunning countryside views. 
The generously sized bathroom defies the usual shepherd’s hut expectations, offering a proper shower cubicle, washbasin, and toilet. We also provide luxurious Black Pepper & Sandalwood toiletries, and warm, fluffy towels thanks to the heated towel rail.
Thoughtful storage solutions, including an external compartment for larger items, ensure you’ll have plenty of room for all your belongings without compromising the hut’s welcoming feel.
Step outside to discover your own private patch of paradise. The Orient Express sits in a river-fronted field with panoramic views across the valley and direct access to a secret island glade, accessible via steppingstones across a gentle stream. It’s an ideal spot to picnic, read, or simply lose yourself in the beauty of the Brecon Beacons National Park. 
For al fresco cooking and dining, the front porch features a flameless BBQ, set, perfect for a relaxed meal with a view.
After a day of walking or exploring nearby footpaths, return to your private hot tub for the ultimate relaxation. As with all our properties, the tub is thoroughly emptied, cleaned, and refilled after every stay. Please allow up to 12 hours for it to reach the optimal temperature. Kindly note that the hot tub is not suitable for children under 16 or pregnant women, and all guests are asked to review the provided safety guidelines before use.

The Orient Express Shepherd's Hut with Hot Tub

We had a lovely stay at the Orient Express, so cute and cosy, very comfy bed, lovely hot tub looking up at the stars and out at the sunrise in the mornings. Close to walks, waterfall and mountains. It was such a peaceful escape and I’d love to return. It would be great if there were some hooks on the walls to hang jackets. Other than that I couldn’t fault it.

Lovely stay

The Shepards hut was amazing. Could not want for anything. Orient Express location was so good. Looking out over the fields and hills made the stay so relaxing. 5 sheep in direct field kept us entertained. We are going back there !

Beautifully designed and well equipped accommodation, very comfortable and in a lovely private location overlooking a large field and hills of sheep. Lots of good walking nearby.

Stayed 2 nights with my dog, such a peaceful setting. Position of hut meant it was completely private. Well equipped, extremely comfortable bed, excellent shower and was great to have the hot tub which was also well positioned for privacy.
Wish I could have stayed longer but will return. 
Also lovely to meet the very friendly and thoughtful owner and son.

Fabulous

An awesome weekend away in this beautifully situated, high quality Shepherds hut accomodation. It has everything you need - the bed is super comfy and it is well kitted out. We loved watching the stars from the hot tub by night, and the red kites in the day light. Great location to access lots of great hikes. Recommend the Castle Coaching House in nearby Trecastell for dinner - the venison was sensational.
