Tucked into the oak- and pine-covered hills just outside downtown Julian, this fully renovated 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home blends modern comfort with the wild, peaceful character that makes this mountain community so special. Whether you're gathering the whole family, escaping with friends, or working remotely from a quiet retreat, this home is built to make your stay easy, comfortable, and genuinely memorable.
The Space
Step inside to a beautifully remodeled kitchen with quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances — fully equipped for cooking a real meal for the group, not just reheating takeout. Both bathrooms have been renovated with the same care and attention to detail. Original hardwood floors run through the downstairs living area, where a brick fireplace with a striking live-edge wood mantel sets the scene for cozy mountain evenings after a day of hiking, apple-picking, or exploring town.
With three bedrooms and thoughtfully arranged sleeping space — including daybeds that past guests traveling with young children have called "a lifesaver" — this home comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. We've also added extra blankets, pillows, blackout curtains, and an iron and ironing board based on real guest feedback, because we want every stay here to feel just a little more considered than the last.
Need to get some work done during your trip? There's a dedicated desk with reliable WiFi in the living room — perfect for a remote workday before you head out to explore, or for extending a weekend into a few extra days.
Nature at Your Doorstep
This is the part guests remember most. It's rare to spend a day here without seeing deer wandering through the oak-shaded backyard, wild turkeys crossing the front lawn, or the occasional fox slipping through the trees at dusk. The property sits on a flat, sunny front yard perfect for kids and games, with a shaded backyard that's cool and quiet even on warm afternoons. Whether you're sipping morning coffee on the covered patio or firing up the Traeger smoker for dinner, the wildlife here is a constant, magical backdrop to your stay.
