IMPORTANT NOTICES: 1. Taxes: The Hotel Taxes in the VI are 12.5%. 2. Travel Insurance: We highly recommend Trip Cancellation Insurance for any unexpected problems, such as family emergencies or rare severe weather-related problems.  We always try to work with our guests, where possible, but cannot be held responsible for refunds to these or other like occurrences. 3. Rental Agreement: You must sign our standard Rental Agreement and Liability Waiver. Once you book, we will send you our standard terms and conditions via DocuSign for your endorsement.  We will require your name, physical address, email, and phone number. 4. Satisfaction: We believe that one of the reasons we have so many repeat guests is because we take a personalized approach.  Before finalizing a booking, we like to speak to our guests on the phone to understand their needs and ensure their vacation at Mooncottage will be perfect.  This is often not possible due to wholesalers' rules and regulations.  Therefore, if for any reason you are not comfortable with anything once we DO speak on the phone, we will do our utmost to find a solution.  Please note that our Rental Agreement and Liability Waiver will supersede any prior agreements, if your reservation was made through a wholesaler or travel agent. 5. Most guests choose to stay for 7-14 nights (our minimum is 4 nights).  Stays of <7 nights are available, with an additional short-stay surcharge of $250. 6. You will require a 4-wheel drive / all-wheel drive vehicle (most rental agencies on St John only rent 4WD / AWD vehicles). 
7. Rentals falling on or around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year have a surcharge, which may not be reflected in your automated online quotation.  The surcharge for rentals on or around Thanksgiving is 10% / night, and the surcharge for rentals on or around Christmas and New Year is 20% / night. 8. We will answer all questions via text on any wholesaler's messaging portal.  However, we really like to speak to our guests personally on the phone before they book, to ensure they understand everything about the villa, the locale, and St John in general.  After booking, we work closely with our guests to ensure a flawless vacation and help with any general information. 9. Mooncottage | Most Romantic St John Villa Caribbean Rental  

Moon Cottage is amazing.  We wanted a secluded cottage for a winter get-away.  Western PA winters are dreary.  We looked online and found Moon Cottage.  That’s where the adventure starts.  A friendly call to Janet got us scheduled.  Through the time, Janet answered all our questions.  Thank You for your recommendations and planning.  Finally the day arrived and we were up at 1:45am to head to the Pittsburgh airport.  As luck would have it, we were delayed arriving to St Thomas.  Our taxi driver Abbey was patiently waiting to take us to the Ferry.  By this time the sun had set.  The warm clear evening and full moon made for a 20 minute romantic boat ride.  As planned, Greg from Courtesy was waiting for us at the Cruz Bay dock and took us to his office for our jeep.  Greg gave us instructions and a crash course in driving on St John.  I had been in contact with the property manager Jalayne this entire time and agreed to meet at Calabash Market.  Jalayne was very welcoming and made arrangements with Ali to remain open for us to pick up some groceries.  Their kindness on our first night was just the beginning.  Jalayne escorted us up the mountain to the villa.  Doubtful we would have found it on our own.  We were given a tour of the villa and answered any questions before she departed.  Jalayne is funny, friendly and indispensable.  Always only a phone call or text away.  That evening we sat on the porch enjoying the view overlooking Coral Bay.  The lights twinkled in the far off distance.  Moon Cottage is so much more beautiful and enchanting in person than we could have imagined.  We read your book in the villa of how Moon Cottage came to be.  The hard work and craftsmanship throughout is impressive. Moon Cottage is Amazing

Like everyone here has said, the views are truly amazing. The house is great for a couple. We loved that that there’s a market close by for just about any food or beverages you’d want. It’s a very quiet area  during the day. At night, the jungle chorus sings! Brian, Janet, and our on island greeter, Jalayne were fabulous ! We always love our time on St. John. Already looking forward to next time!

We could not have had a more intimate, romantic, secluded, and connected-to-nature experience for our wedding/honeymoon week! Words cannot describe the beauty and breathtaking views of Mooncottage! Communication was easy and prompt on every detail before, during, and after arrival. Everything from grocery delivery to private chefs was arranged and executed without a hiccup. This cottage has stunning views and is cooled by fantastic breezes in the open-air manner of older St John villas. Exquisitely built and well-supplied. Coral Bay is the quiet side of the island but has adequate grocery stores and restaurants for us. The beds were comfortable.
