Firewood is provided on site. * We are located at about 3,000 ft in elevation. Occasional winter conditions can be expected between December and March  Summers ~ * There is no air conditioning at the cabin as none is needed. Summer temperatures hover around mid-80's during the day and low 60's at night. There are fans in all rooms and screens on the wide windows that let the breeze in from the hillside Guest Access ~ - Full access to the cabin, porches and 4 acres of private woods behind the cabin - Part of the basement is used to store materials. Children should not play in that area. Other Things to Note ~ * Main floor is up a flight of stairs* Last mile along the river is a one-lane gravel road. There can be some erosion especially in winter. * Driveway is a little steep.* Access road makes a loop for your morning walk

New River Cozy Cabin

I very much enjoyed my time at the cabin! Beautiful place. Loved all the woodwork inside. And the leaves were in full glory. Wished I could have stayed a couple more days.

We had a wonderful time.  The cabin was awesome, we enjoyed the fire pit, and it was very well stocked for a party of eight. It was a very great experience and we would love to do it again.  Thank you for the opportunity.

This property was truly an escape for a few days.  All things have been thought of .. kitchen, baths, extra covers for the cooler nights, porches and fire pits to enjoy the outdoors and the New River across the road.  It is tucked away in the mountains, so plan for groceries before you get to the house.  Internet & cell connection was spotty, as indicated, but it was nice to "check out" for a bit.  Trips into West Jefferson & the area provided shopping, eating, and connection to WiFi, when we needed it.
