Glass House on the Lake

This home was exactly as they advertised the pictures that you see. Don’t even do it justice. The setting is ideal for relaxing and enjoying everything about the outdoors. I love the screened in porch and the swinging bed were my favorites. It was the perfect lake for kayaking on also very easy to get to stores if we had forgotten something our host was always available for any silly question I might’ve had. We also did our own cooking and there was everything that we possibly needed in the kitchen. We intend to stay there again someday was very pleased.

The Glass House is an absolutely ideal place to relax, unwind & simply enjoy life! An extraordinary mix of modern amenities & nature! The upper level living area has 3 sides of floor to ceiling glass so views to the outside are unobstructed with a slider that leads out to a comfortable elevated screened porch. The bedrooms on the ground floor each have French doors to an outdoor seating area, then to the fire pit & ultimately to the dock & boat slip. You can feel yourself relaxing with each step you take! My husband took advantage of the kayaks & fished each morning enjoying the full sunrise & peaceful quiet catching bass & other fish each outing. The grounds are well maintained & blend naturally in the surround natural environment. Our stay was incredible & Shelia promptly responded to each time we reached out with questions. There are multiple personal touches throughout the home & it is evident she created an atmosphere that is both comfortable & inviting. Superb, awesome, amazing, incredible - none of those words accurately describe The Glass House but they are a start! We will definitely be returning, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Wonderful stay. Great house. Had everything I needed for the week to feel almost like home. Host was quick to respond with any questions I had. Highly recommend.

Peaceful lake home

We had a fantastic stay at this house. This is the best lake house we have ever stayed in on the East Coast. Great views from the house, the upper deck, the fire pit, and the dock this is a great place to base Adventures from . we used the provided paddle boards and kayaks and went down a nearby finger of the lake we were the only people out! Fire pit is set up with wood and is great to sit around at night time, there were no bugs either. A big bonus for us is they have a boat lift at the private dock. We have a 21 and 1/2 ft ski boat and this was great for access.

Fishing was fantastic catching bass and catfish off the deck and off The Kayaks. The front driveway is gravel and is large enough to turn around said boat trailer and SUV. Easy access at the marina. They do have on lake fuel at the marina but there are gas stations close enough that we use portable tanks in this situation as the marina fuel is about $2 a gallon more expensive.

Super private place to stay , excellent interior and Landscaping and the owners are super responsive answer all questions and truly care about their property and the experience of their guests. We will be coming back again to this place this year which is unusual for us as we like to explore new places.
