The Hemlock at White Oak Reserve is a romantic mountain hideaway for two, tucked into the North Georgia mountains just minutes from Blue Ridge and McCaysville.
Soak beneath the stars. Shower beneath the open sky. Make your own pizza. Settle into the porch swing or spend the evening beside your private outdoor fire.
The Hemlock is made for couples who want to explore when they feel like it — and have an equally good reason to stay right where they are.
MORNINGS AT THE HEMLOCK
Wake to birdsong, crisp mountain air and the quiet of hardwood trees surrounding the retreat.
Make coffee in the French press and take it onto your private deck. Settle into the porch swing, listen to the woods wake up and enjoy a morning that doesn't need to start anywhere else.
When you're ready, slip into your private hot tub or, during the warmer season, step beneath the outdoor rain shower and experience something as simple as a shower beneath the open sky.
EVENINGS ARE MADE FOR STAYING IN
As daylight fades, The Hemlock becomes its own little world.
Make dinner outside. Try your hand at pizza using the grill-top pizza oven. Open a bottle of wine and settle beside the private outdoor fire while the woods grow quiet around you.
Or simply stay on the porch swing a little longer.
When you're ready to head inside, lower the lights and turn movie night into a private screening on the oversized projector with surround sound and wireless streaming.
No theater reservation required.
INSIDE THE RETREAT
The Hemlock combines the warmth of a mountain cabin with thoughtful details designed for comfort.
A sumptuous king bed, natural wood-plank ceilings and blackout blinds make sleeping in easy. Spa-inspired toiletries bring a considered touch to your stay, while the Moroccan-inspired kitchen includes the essentials for coffee, breakfast and light cooking.
High-speed Wi-Fi is available when you want to stay connected — although The Hemlock makes disconnecting considerably more appealing.
SECLUDED, NOT REMOTE
The Hemlock gives you the privacy of a mountain escape without putting you far from everything you came to Blue Ridge to experience.
Downtown Blue Ridge and McCaysville are approximately 7 minutes away, with Mercier Orchards, wineries, hiking trails, waterfalls, mountain views, dining, shopping and seasonal festivals all within easy reach.
Access is straightforward year-round, and no 4x4 is required.
Spend the day exploring North Georgia.
Then come home, settle into the hot tub, light the fire and let the evening slow down.
THE BEST PLANS MAY BE THE ONES YOU CANCEL.
Coffee on the deck. An afternoon soak. Pizza outside. The porch swing at dusk. Firelight after dark. A movie before bed.
The Hemlock isn't about filling every hour of your getaway.
It's about having somewhere you don't want to leave.

The Hemlock-A Secluded Escape For Two-Forest Views

Had an excellent stay! Very cozy, relaxing tiny house. Hot tub and outdoor shower were great. Had a fire on the deck. You can tell the host pays attention to detail. We had an issue with the keypad unlocking at check-in, and the hosts were very responsive in making sure everything was resolved quickly. Will be back! Thanks again Sunny!
