Beautiful 3-bedroom retreat is located above 320' of private river frontage on the South Holston River; which offers excellent wade fishing and private boat access for kayaks/canoes. Great for a family getaway or a small group of anglers. This property is managed by Tailwaters Lodge and is just minutes away from their main campus, as well as theTVA's hiking & biking trails, and theSouth Holston Dam. You can rent a pontoon boat and enjoy the waters of the South Holston Lake. Downtown Bristol TN / VA, which is the "Home of Country Music" and the Rhythm and Roots Reunion, has many wonderful restaurants and interesting shops and is just a quick drive away. The Bristol Motor Speedway is approx. 7 miles from the Retreat. Enjoy the firepit at night after a good day of fishing, hiking, biking, or sightseeing. This is definitely a place for peace and relaxation.
Note that the Retreat is equipped with an in-house security and the Ring Camera security system. The House is located on a hill that is approx. 70' in elevation above the river. There is a gravel/dirt road to walk down (approx an 18 - 40 % grade to reach the river. Vehicles are not allowed to drive down to the river.

I’ve stayed at a lot of places and this is definitely in the top 5% of hosts. Everything you could think of was already thought of and at your fingertips . Place was spotless, really the perfect Airbnb host. Don’t hesitate to rent this place.

Lovely home - well appointed and comfortable.  Private lot, close to town and local venues for family activities.  GREAT communication with accommodating Property Managers. Well designed and functional home, tons of outdoor living space and beautiful access to the River.

We were looking for a good place on the South Holsten for fly fishing. My husband enjoyed fishing and having the private access to the river. It was a nice quiet trip.

River Rock - A Nice Quiet Trip

We stayed in the River Rock home and it was wonderful. We made use of the kitchen, grill and fire pit. The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. This was our first fishing trip without a guided float and we decided to just wade the river for the few days we were there. The river access is a little difficult from River Rock, and we are fairly new to fly fishing, but we learned a few things each day. We had a great time on the River!
