We've designed a getaway to reconnect&nbsp;for slow days cooking, celebrating, and exhaling on the forest deck with frequent deer sightings.&nbsp; 
This dwelling comes with whimsical,&nbsp;rustic soul and an uncanny, natural light warmth that glows inside and out. Wrapped by trees and perched on a full acre, it offers the feeling of an intimate&nbsp;retreat while sitting just 7 minutes from charming&nbsp;downtown Ellijay (20min Blue Ridge / 90min Atlanta / 90min Chattanooga).&nbsp;

Inside, vaulted ceilings and clean wood paneling are balanced with rustic touches like a stone fireplace and a live-edge dining table softly contrasted by modern finishes and&nbsp;light fixtures. Layered throughout the cabin are soft textures, cozy throw blankets, and intentional details that invite you to linger.
Though they've welcomed you into their home, the deer are frequent visitors of your getaway, often appearing from the forest edges as quiet reminders that&nbsp;no moment is too small to celebrate.&nbsp;

The Ellijay Olive kitchen was envisioned as a home cook’s haven—less about presentation, more about process. It’s fully stocked with everything you need to cook together: from a KitchenAid mixer and Ninja blender to curated, tactile tools that make the act of cooking feel grounding and joyful. This is where kitchen dance parties begin long before dinner is ready, cake batter spatulas double as microphones, and slow moments turn into lasting memories.
Whether you're pulling together a savory spread, a spontaneous cake or late-night ice cream social…you may discover we’ve already planned ahead, from charcuterie boards to accouterments.
GATHER BY THE FIRE
We provide a bundle of wood and kindling for every stay.&nbsp;As evening settles in, light a warm fire&nbsp;in one of two ways:
* The indoor wood-burning stove with mini lounge&nbsp;(NOTE: living room & primary bedroom fireplaces are NOT functional at present)
* Outside fire pit for&nbsp;roasting marshmallows beneath the trees

When you're seeking a layered soundtrack to the chirping birds or hooting owls outside your door...Our brand new Victrola record player & Victrola bluetooth speakers offer an immersive listening experience (unlike those Crosley props!). Spin a record from our local downtown shop, Unique Ellijay, where we've started sourcing our collection just for you. 
In the primary suite, an Apple HomePod Mini is stationed on the nightstand. Whether it's an early morning chime to wake you, nature sounds for easy sleep or slow tunes for lazy evenings spent reclining, you can connect here effortlessly (on command, too—with guide included if you're new to this device). 
LOFT SPACE (work station & alternative accommodation)
A spacious loft with a pull-out sofa & cozy desk set up—perfect for remote work or writing a postcard. Let us know if you’d like the bed set up before arrival. Two cushy dog beds are staged here but free to be relocated anywhere in the cabin. 

PREPARED FOR FAMILIES &&nbsp;DOGS
Designed with peace of mind in mind, the property features fencing around the deck and yard so kids and pups can move safely from front yard to back deck. Family ready with amenities like a pack n play, sound machine, black out curtains and Honest shampoo & body wash.&nbsp;Dogs are provided doggie blanket, food and drink bowls, waste bags and outdoor trash bin for disposal.&nbsp;
PET FEE & ACCOMODATIONS We are happy to accommodate dogs at a pet fee of $50/ dog with a max of 2 dogs per stay. You must indicate appropriate number at check out. Please monitor your dogs at all times.&nbsp;
PET RULES&nbsp;
1.&nbsp;We cannot allow pets that are not house trained and/or are menstruating.&nbsp;All dog waste must be picked up,&nbsp;bagged and disposed of in designated trash bin.
2. Keep dogs off the&nbsp;beds. We are happy to provide 2 doggie beds of their own (1 large & 1 small) for use anywhere indoors, and&nbsp;dogs are permitted to&nbsp;sit upon sofas with use of&nbsp;designated doggie blankets at all times. Thank you for preserving our people amenities!
3. If fur is found on beds, excessive fur on&nbsp;sofas, or pet accidents of all kinds (i.e. waste, sickness or property damage),&nbsp;fees start at $100 for extra cleaning time, supplies and repairs.&nbsp; 
4. Do not leave your pet outdoors for extended periods of time. When leaving dogs indoors unattended, please close all bedroom doors to prevent their access to&nbsp;beds.&nbsp;

Such a wonderful location, where the world seemed to stop for the time we were there. Super hosts! Beautiful home!

Amazing Stay

If I could give 10 stars I would! That is how much we enjoyed our stay. This home was so well appointed, there was not one thing the host had not thought of to make this the most enjoyable stay. The only bad part was- we only stayed 2 nights and wished we stayed more. I brought my 88 year old mom, my 18 year old daughter and 13 year old son to make some memories together during my daughters last spring break. And this was the perfect place to do so. With the kitchen that had literally everything you could need- we made dinner and baked brownies. We loved the Fellows coffee maker that we set to be ready for the mornings. There was even coffee beans to grind fresh and sugar. We relaxed listening to jazz records as we ate pizza by the fire. We had a game night with the games provided. The bathroom has everything you need, even my favorite Native body products and a bathrobe. In the mornings, we would take our coffee out on the deck and call to the deer. They would be laying down and would come when we called to feed them apples. My mom loved it here and commented- you sure know how to pick em. The master bed was sooooo comfortable. As were the beds upstairs for the kids. My 13 year old begged to stay longer and we would have had it been available. We will definitely be back. And we will definitely stay longer. I will tell all my family and Florida friends that this is the most perfect home to relax and enjoy the GA mountains. Dawn was a perfect host and communicated daily with emails to see how we were doing and to ask if we needed anything. Dawn sure has curated a beautiful, perfect, well equipped home for her guests. We made the best memories and will be talking about our trip to Ellijay until we return!

Spring Break Family Get Away

Our book club had our annual retreat at the Ellijay Olive. What a great weekend! The space was cozy and well appointed with lots of lovely personal touches. Our host was very responsive and helpful throughout out stay. Can't wait to return!

Book Club Retreat

This cabin was an absolute dream! From the moment we arrived it felt cozy, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail was clearly chosen with care…from the Fellow coffee maker that brewed the perfect cup, the sprinkles display for a fun ice cream night, to the griddle ready for morning pancakes, and the olive-colored record player that set the vibe just right.

The Ellijay Olive is peaceful and ideal for relaxing, yet still close to all the fun and charm of downtown Ellijay. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and truly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We felt right at home and can’t wait to return. A truly special stay.
