The Old Bakery was originally constructed by the Somerset family, these buildings were designed to accommodate the village bakers. The story of this place dates back to the 1870s when a bustling bakery and bakery shop graced this location, serving the community until the 1960s when it was transformed into a post office. Legend has it that one of Queen Victoria's delectable cakes was crafted right here.
Picture this: villagers patiently lining up along the lane to savor the aroma of freshly baked bread, a cherished tradition that unfolded here for decades. In more recent times, The Old Bakery underwent several transformations, housing a print shop, a hat-making workshop, and even a cozy 'home pub' known as The Silver Fox. The year 2022 marked the latest chapter in its storied history as it was thoughtfully converted into a cozy 2 bedroomed cottage, preserving its unique character and heritage. 
There is a gates parking space for you use which can hold 1 car or van. More free parking is available on the main street.&nbsp;

Once you have booked we require you to complete our own registration form (which is&nbsp;emailed)&nbsp;with all guests details on, plus we require a form of ID from the lead person.&nbsp;
This&nbsp;property sleeps 5 people in 4 beds (one is a king size). If booking for 5 people we can provide an additional trundle bed&nbsp;(please note there will be 3 people in the one bedroom)
We live on site as our house is attached to The Old Bakery by the garage. &nbsp;Our aim is you have a relaxing and uninterrupped stay at The Old Bakery, however we are on hand should you need us.

Beautiful house and beautifully decorated. It’s a very cosy, warm and homely property, with everything you need. Located in a quiet and safe neighbourhood within walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants. The hosts are close by and happy to provide any assistance if needed. We had a fabulous stay there and would highly recommend this property. It’s a great location to explore all that West and East Sussex has to offer. It’s a very cosy, warm and homely property, with everything you need. Located in a quiet and safe neighbourhood within walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants. The hosts are close by and happy to provide any assistance if needed. We had a fabulous stay there and would highly recommend this property. Comfortable and warm

It is an absolutely stunning property in a lovely village. I actually live nearby but I’m having building works done and escaped for two nights. Very comfortable stylish and well equipped. I will certainly recommend.

Stunning

Beautifully quiet location within walking distance of local shops, two pubs and a micro brewery. Opposite the property was Angmering Manor Hotel where the food and service were superb. The property appeared brand new with all mod cons, 2 bathrooms and a downstairs cloakroom and was warm throughout. Information for guests was comprehensive and readily available. Property has a gated drive which accommodated our large SUV.
