Wellsboro Hunting Lodge, 4.2 mi to Game Lands

Our stay at Creekside Cottage was great and a super location for visiting the Dickens Christmas! Melissa was very patient and helpful in answering all my questions and requests. Melissa was a busy elf doing Christmas decorations to help us enjoy our stay. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were perfect for my 88 year old mother. Melissa left us use suction cup grabs with the tub, which came mom safe getting in and out of the tub. My cousin loved the bunny themed Bunker, my sister-in-law enjoyed cuddling up in The Den, and I enjoyed The Cove. The kitchen was fantastic, and we appreciated the morning coffee supplies. The fireplace in the living room made things nice and toasty after a cold day in town. We had a wonderful evening enjoying wine and cheese, watching Christmas movies, and basking in the warmth. It definitely put us in the Christmas spirit! The Cottage is about 18 minutes out of town and there isn’t a restaurant or food delivery….just plan to bring or get food. There’s a store, Stony Fork County Store, about a mile down the road. They have great baked goods, fresh produce, milk, and various other pantry items. I also recommend eating at the Wellsboro House. Their food is very good and the waitstaff was great!

The Creekside Cottage would also be great in the spring and summer. There’s a nice patio in back and a big yard. Unfortunately, it was too cold and snow on the ground so we didn’t get to enjoy that area.

Enjoy!

My wife and I really enjoyed out stay at Creekside Cottage. It was a very cozy and inviting home. Everything is set up to help guests relax, which we did. The house is in a very nice location, convenient to downtown and to my family that lives up here.

I have to mention that each room is beautifully appointed. It's obvious the owners went to a lot of trouble to coordinate all the design and furnishings. We loved both the natural & artificial lights as well as all the electrical outlets. I liked every bedroom, and would've slept a night in each room, if I'd had the time. As nice as the inside of the house is, the outside of the house is just as charming. We can't wait to return to try out one of the other bedrooms.

Visiting Family for the Holiday

Five stars for the Creekside Cottage! Wow this was a superb cottage and location. Spent weekend with 4 sisters to celebrate the Christmas season. The cottage had everything we could possibly need. The cottage was clean and comfortable, had beautiful design/decor, comfy bedding, fully stocked kitchen, and lots of complimentary items (coffee, hot chocolate, smores, toiletries, games etc.). Kudos to the owners in making the cottage a refreshing get away in the beautiful PA mountains. The location near Wellsboro PA is beautiful. In Wellsboro, we went to Dickens Christmas Weekend and had dinner at Beck's Bistro and can recommend both! Hiking, four-wheeling, biking, PA Grand Canyon are great options from this location. My sisters and I recommend the cottage and look forward to a future visit.

Sisters Christmas Weekend

The house is very cozy and inviting. Everything is set up to help guests relax, which we did. The house is in a great location and close to nearby activities. Each room is beautifully appointed. It's obvious the hosts went to a lot of trouble to coordinate all the design and furnishings. We loved both the natural & Artificial light. It was so nice to have plenty of outlets properly placed in all the rooms for all your electronic needs. We liked every bedroom, and would've slept a night in each, if we'd had the time. The house even has a charming look from the outside as well. Also loved the marshmallows in the jar :)
