A Home Full of Art, Light, and Stories
Welcome to this one-of-a-kind Japanese house, once the home and atelier of a local painter, now transformed into a warm and creative mountain retreat. The house features three guest rooms and a large, sunlit living room designed for comfort and inspiration. With its natural light, spacious layout, and cozy atmosphere, it's the perfect place to unwind—whether you're enjoying music on the quality sound system, flipping through art books and magazines, admiring the paintings on the walls, or playing a nostalgic round of Nintendo 64.
The home beautifully blends its original character with new energy. You'll find original canvas works by the former resident artist hanging alongside fresh illustrations and ski photography contributed by the new owners—guides and riders deeply connected to Hokkaido's backcountry.
The kitchen is a delightful throwback to the 1980s, full of retro charm and perfect for preparing shared meals. On clear days, step upstairs to enjoy a peaceful view of the surrounding mountains from the second floor.
This is more than just a place to stay—it’s a home that reflects creativity, nature, and the rhythm of the seasons.
