This Home Boasts Plenty Of Beds For Large Family Vacations! Full bathroom. This cottage is just right for your relaxing vacation on the one of a kind Frye Island. Walk right out to your own private, sandy beach to swim, or relax or watch the sun set. Frye Island also has 13 public beaches, public 9 hole golf course, tennis courts, community center with entertainment for children, playground, basketball courts and much more! There is a General Store and Restaurant, that offers gifts and groceries, as well as a restaurant with lakeside dining, 15 beers on tap (14 craft!) and entertainment such as Trivia Nights and Karaoke Nights. And an ice cream stand, of course!! The cottage has four bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed, one with two twin beds and a crib, one with a bunk bed with the bottom bunk queen sized, and another with one twin sized bed. There is also an additional queen sized bed in the upstairs loft. The living area has a good sized table, two couches and large windows with a sunset view. Plenty of additional seating on the beautiful deck that looks out over the water. This property also has many wild blueberry bushes, ready in July for picking! Kayaks, rowboat, paddle boat and mooring available for rental.

Waterfront Frye Island Cottage: Beach, Beautiful Sunsets

We absolutely loved staying in this house. The house was clean and comfortable. Classic Maine cottage type house but this place is all about the location. The beach access and view looking west over the lake towards Douglass Mountain was incredible. Felt like we were looking at a like postcard the entire week. Beautiful sunsets every night. Sounds of the lake gently lapping on the shore, a calm breeze, absolutely delightful. The owners Dave & Amy were also extremely nice & accommodating. Could not have been easier to check-in and out. We would highly recommend this place for a relaxing private beach vacation. Would love to go back someday.

Our first vacation on Frye Island didn't disappoint! Amazing location, Accommodating owners! Beautiful lake! House has that traditional cottage feel. Can't wait to get back to the island! Would absolutely recommend staying here!



Amazing vacation!

Frye Island is a perfect location for relaxation. Property was great with direct water access. Property is in a small cove, perfect for swimming. We used the mooring right in front of the beach for our boat, made it was super easy and convenient to go in and out and explore the lake by boat. Kids and grandparents golfed and used the driving range, which is a nice feature on the island.

Large Beach and Beautiful Sunsets

Everything was exactly as described. The cottage is on a small private beach, with beautiful sunsets. The cottage isn't fancy, but was perfect for our four boys, us, and my mom. From blueberry picking to fishing, and exploring the cove on the paddle boat to biking and walking the island, there was plenty to do - including relaxing on the beach! Amy and Dave were easy to work with, and we are already planning for next year.

My family had a lovely time on Frye Island in Amy & Dave’s home. They were extremely responsive and their home is located on a calm cove with beautiful sunset views from the beach. Would definitely stay again!
