AFTICA

My two sons wanted to take me to a cottage for a father-and-sons getaway as a gift for my 60th birthday. We found CozyCottages during an internet search and we're happy we did. What a beautiful, peaceful spot. We were impressed right from the beginning. The cottage is beautiful, is tastefully decorated, impeccably clean, and equipped for whatever you need. The yard is large and cozy with its furnished patio, hammock, fire pit and dock stretching onto the lake. The large windows all around on the two floors are large and provide fantastic views of the lake and the hills. Our visit was in late September and coincided with the start of the fall colours, which was an added bonus. My sons, both in their 20s, were especially thrilled with the games room, equipped with video games that allowed them to participate in a Wii Sports tournament. It's a great spot and you feel like you're isolated from the hustle-and-bustle of the city, yet you're less than 100 km from Montreal, and Morin Heights and St-Sauveur are about 20-25 minutes away. Plus there's a dépanneur and SAQ outlet just down the road in case you need something you forgot back home. The boys and I hope to make this a regular family event and look forward to visiting again. Many thanks to the CozyCottages proprietors who provided us with a great place to mark a milestone.

Great getaway with my sons

We had a wonderful stay with CozyCottages and really enjoyed everything the experience had to offer. The cottage itself was comfortable, well equipped, and had all the amenities we needed, while the lake and surrounding scenery made it easy to slow down and enjoy being away from the city. We also really liked exploring the area—it has a lot of character and charm, and the local people we met were genuinely friendly and welcoming. One thing I’d suggest future visitors come prepared for is the bugs; you’re surrounded by nature, so they can definitely be noticeable depending on the time of day and weather. Bring good insect repellent and you’ll be much better prepared to enjoy the outdoors. Overall, CozyCottages gave us a great cottage-country experience in a beautiful part of Quebec, and we’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway by the lake.
