Life at Gaia Soul tends to find its own pace. There’s space to keep to yourself when you want it, and shared areas when you don’t. Some people drift into conversations, others disappear into a hammock for hours. Both make sense here. Your room gives you a place to step back, with views out toward the ocean and enough quiet when you need it.
Around the property, there’s an open-air yoga shala, a halfpipe, a skatepark, a playground and a plunge pool for the hotter parts of the day. Out front, Maaliyadda Beach stretches on without much interruption. Good for a swim, a surf, or just watching what the tide’s doing.
When it’s time to eat, Sunshine Café is just a few steps away. It’s part of the village, and the food reflects that. Fresh, Sri Lankan, made daily. If you prefer to keep things simple, meals can be arranged as part of your stay.
There’s free parking on site if you’re traveling with your own wheels.

Private Villa - Ocean Views & Pool

Modern and stylish guesthouse, with many cool details! Comfy rooms with outside bathrooms (jungly feel) and big beds. Hammocks all around and super cool skate ramps that run through/around the house. A refreshing small pool and super close to a beautiful quiet beach. Open shared kitchen and fridge, we baked oliebollen on new years eve ;)
Next door the Sunshine family lives, who are always around. Sanduni organises everything you need, mum cooks for you (with great breakfast every morning), the best tuk tuk service, kids play with our kids and all have the most beautiful smiles. They, together with the ladies that help, make the place so warm and welcoming.
My husband went surfing with Baxter to one of the less busy surf spots and shared some helping info/tips.
Hiri and Dikwella are just a 10 to 15 min tuktuk ride away. Also Sanduni can arrange a motorbike to go and explore yourself. Highly recommended!
